We chose this hotel for a more authentic experience. The staff were very helpful and we stayed 3 nights in an air conditioned, twin bedded room with a tatami area (worth the extra cost for the extra space). The beds were hard but once the staff saw I'd been sleeping on my duvet they brought us extra soft mattresses to...

Our Japanese style room was very clean, confortable and spacious. Apart from a small bathroom in the room, the hotel also provides a public bath for its customers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we had 2 delicious meals (within 15mins walk) by their recommendation. The only problem is that the walls are thin (traditional Japanese building) so we...

came highly reviewed and decided to book this place for our trip last year. wanted to experience the local flavour instead of staying in a international hotel. the hotel was decent and staff were very friendly, a low key hotel but that's about it. the room we had didnt have a good view and it felt old. cant really fault...

We got a huge two twin bed room for roughly ¥11,000 per night (2 people). It's hard to put an exact price as we got it in a package deal with rental car and flight through the Rakuten webpage. The location is pretty convenient to the airport (about 15 minutes by car with good traffic), some nice local restaurants, and...

Rakuchin is a neat and clean small hotel, located in a quiet neighbourhood in Naha city. It is about 20mins walk away from koukuseido street and not too far from the airport. The best thing about the hotel is not the location (right side of the hotel near sleazy night club) however it is safe and has very good customer...

You will need to take a taxi to this hotel, since there are no English signs at all, and it does not look like a hotel from the outside. Interesting half-Japanese room, with lovely wood floor, and low table and chairs on a tatami mat. But the Western bed was uncomfortably hard, and the pillow contained some granular material. The...

A friend and I stayed 5 nights at Rakuchin in Naha. From the moment we arrived we were cared for. We had booked a three person room with twin beds and tatami mats for two of us and expected to pay for three persons but they would only charge us for two persons. The room was quiet, always kept very...

When me and my boyfriend went to Japan for 47 days we stayed in 11 different hotels/hostels. This was one of our favorite. We lived in a semi-western twin room – it was spacy and really nice. We liked the split Japanese/western touch. There was a fridge, a water boiler for tea/cup noodles, a TV and a good bathroom with...

Could not fault this hotel for our 11 day trip to Okinawa. It was within walking distance of the nearest monorail station, and from there you could also carry on walking through to Kokusai Dori (20 mins max). The room was thoroughly cleaned every day, and you were required to be out of your room by 11am to enable this....

This inn is strongly recomended. For 8400yen a twin room per night including simple but sufficient breakfast is the best buy as far as I know. It's about 1000yen, 15 minutes by taxi from airport. We stayed for three nights in october 2010. We were in a twin bed room with TATAMI, which was very cosy and comfortable. The room...
