Good Location with helpful staff. Has a natural onsen Rikkarikka-yu just next to it but Hotel Guest needs to pay ¥1,050 each per visit at the Hotel Reception Counter first which made it different from most other Hotels & Ryokans with Onsen Facilities which we have visited in 43 other Prefectures so far. A 30-50% discount for Guests of the Hotel would be better and satisfy most of its hotel guests. Would have given it a 8/10 or 8.5/10.
We enjoyed our 4-night stay at this hotel since its so convenient to get great food and shopping. There’s even a wet market in the alleys where you can find the freshest seafood. The rooms were spacious (by Japanese standard) and the beds were comfortable. There’s an onsen that guests can use for a nominal fee and it’s a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing. The reception staff were really helpful as they accommodated our request to store our main luggage while we used our cabin bags to stay at hotels in Okinawa City and Nara. They also helped us with the hotel transfer to the airport. There’s ample parking in the hotel although there’s a charge of ¥1,500 per day.
I jointed a tour in Hong Kong to Okinawa, the last two days stayed in Naha Central Hotel. I had never seen a hotel room using tiled floor instead of carpet. The tiled floor was dirty, plenty of blots, I told the tour guide to tell the reception to clean, but next day was the same.
The location of this hotel is very convenient and it's just a few minutes walk to the famous International Street or Kakusai-Dori and Makishi Kosetsu Ichiba Market where all tourists must go to do their shopping for souvenirs. There are many restaurants in the area so one is practically spoilt for choice! There is a tourist information centre nearby too. It's only about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The centre has staff who speak very good English to assist tourists in their enquiries. The hotel room is very well and efficiently designed to accommodate 4 single beds and still has sufficient space for our luggage. The sink is in the room while the toilet and the shower area is separate. There's also a small changing room attached to the bathroom. Thus, guests are able to do what they need to do without having to waste time waiting around. Housekeeping has done a good job in cleaning the room. However, they can do better by replenishing the tissues and replacing new bedroom slippers on a daily basis. The breakfast was good. There's a mixture of Japanese breakfast, salads, a variety of bread, cereal and yoghurt. Needless to say, there's coffee, tea and other beverages too. The hotel staff, while friendly and helpful, can't speak English very well. It would be better if they can improve in their communication with English speaking guests. A highly recommended hotel!…
I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were modern and spacious. The bathrooms represented typical Japanese efficiency. And the ventilation was more than adequate. I slept extremely well during my 2 nights here. However, the wifi in the room was disappointing and was going down multiple times during the evening. And the breakfast area was a joke... way too small to accommodate large crowds. There were lines of people trying to get into the breakfast area that had to wait at least 20 minutes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay but has some room for improvement.
