Stayed in the hotel for one night in April 2016. The room was huge and luxurious with a big balcony with excellent sea view where you can watch the sunrise. There is one small hotspring inside the room facing the sea but we went to both the public hotspring on the top of the hotel and also the one on... More

This ryokan is much beyond my expectation. It is new, stylish, with a stunning view. My friend and I chose to stay at the ryokan for its remarkable onsens instead of going to see Beppu's renowned 'Hells', and it was worth it! Seikai is a newly refurbished ryokan-style hotel, located by the Beppu sea. It is approx 10 mins from... More

This hotel is right beside the sea. Once arrive by car they will run up and help with your bags and open a car space for you to park. Check in as lots of people said sitting facing the sea and all checkin done for you. Room are big and clean.(I stayed in the L room) The onsen in room... More

Me and my wife lived there on 15/4/2016. Spacious room with wonderful scene of the beppu sea. The in-room ourdoor hotspring was great, where you can enjoy the starry sky or the sunrise in the sea with your family privately. The great kumamoto earthquake happened that night at around 1am, where everything was shaking in the room. The TV set... More

Third time in Seikai. This time spent 2 nights in the renovated 5/f Hare building, room 'O', which consisted of 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets, walk-in closet, living room with electrical blinds, a deck chair on balcony, and private onsen for sure. Last time, stayed 3 night in room 'K' which was also a comfortable spacious room in Umi building. Service,... More

From the exterior, the hotel didn't look that great. But the check-in was done in a very personalized manner with the ladies being able to choose their own yukatas (a light and comfortable Japanese "kimono") from a cloak room filled with so many choices! The room was beautifully appointed with an ensuite onsen bath tub with constant flowing water. This... More

We are impressed with the hotel facilities especially the private outdoor onsen in our room, facing the sea. You can enjoy sea view onsen at any times during your stay. The dinner was served at the restaurant with a nice view in a private room. The foods are good but we had better meal at another ryokan in the same... More

Such a beautiful place. Very impressive. Amazing view from both my room-very spacious with a private onsen- and 2 separate public onsens. Soak yourself in warm natural hotspring and hear waves crash. Okubo-san was extremely kind and helpful when checking in. 5 star hotel service is what you get. Of course, the only downside is the price. But worth every... More

One of my favorite hotels in Japan. As soon as you walk in, you're met with a panoramic view of Beppu Bay; the decor throughout the hotel is modern and tranquil. The check-in process was very relaxing as you're seated the whole time while they bring paperwork and tea to you. I loved getting to choose my yukatas design out... More

We stayed in type P room: 朝霧 Asagiri, room with private open bath facing the ocean, with living room and the bedroom also facing the ocean. Not much to say about this hotel except, I will highly recommend it for couples or families for the purpose of R&R (mainly due to the hotel location). Thought as mentioned by other reviewer,...
