Our Kyushu family trip third stop at this hotel, we only spent one night. Hotel location was good and accessible to Kumamoto castle, Suizen-ji Jōju-en, Kumamon office(for kids) via city tram. We love Kumamon deco in the lobby which adorable and loving. Front desk staff were able to communicate in English, willing to help and answer any questions and keep... More

We stayed one night during the sakura season, since most of the hotels in the area were sold out during this peak season, and the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto only have smoking rooms left so we went for it anyways, which turned out to be quite a disaster.. The odor was SOOOOOOO strong that we couldn’t sleep all night. We... More

Wifi not too working in room . I can only connect to one device at a certain corner. The room is small but sufficient for a short one night stay. Very typical Japanese hotel. Breakfast are traditional Kumamoto cuisine. Interesting. Carpark is 1100 yen per night. Unlimited in and out allowed.

We spent one night in this hotel . It was walking distance from the castle ( the reason we had come to Kumamoto ) and the arcades for Restaurants in the evening. We had a twin room which was spacious and two almost double beds in it. No view and it is on a main road fine for one night.

This hotel looked good on the outside but we found our semi double room too small. We hardly enough space to move once we laid out our luggage. The rooms of the two hotels we booked in Fukuoka were bigger and cheaper. The only good thing we can rave about is the location since it was accessible to a few... More

We stayed in Kuma Room. It is a twin room and decorated with a big Kuma bear doll, four bear cushions, bear cups, shower curtain. The hotel gave us bear files and postcards. The room size is normal. The breakfast is various and the staff keep the restaurant as clean as possible. Location is good, near tram stop and shopping... More

We stayed for two nights. The room was spacious for a business hotel. The hotel and room were clean. Everything from toothbrush to shampoo to slippers to tea were supplied by the hotel. So you can travel light. Not far from the trams A and B and the arcade/dining area. We came by Shinkansen whose station is only a few... More
