Despite other reviews I think the rooms here are a reasonable size. We had room for two suitcases. Our room was very clean. Staff were always lovely and had some English skills. The hotel is very close to the train station which is convenient but also loud. 711 and Lawson just around the corner, and shopping area just up the... More

First off, the rooms are VERY small, I struggled to have my suitcase open on the floor. The room have air conditioning which was great as it was summer time. The rooms were cleaned everyday. There is a complimentary breakfast which was okay, good if you like to each Japanese breakfast every morning. The staff were always very friendly but... More

It was great to be able to walk two minutes to drop off our bags before we headed off to the temples and gardens of Nara. The hotel itself was quite basic, as was the breakfast (which was cheaper than most at only ¥850. It had only a limited selection but enough to keep you going). A workaday hotel at... More

First of all when I was there to check in none of them spoke English. They had to bring 3 persons before the check in was done. The rooms as small but fine. The bathroom was old and not clean. Last problem was the breakfast. Worst I have seen ever. I do not go back to this hotel ever.

Recommend this hotel. Very close to Nara station. Only about 10 minutes walk from the station The rooms are small but clean. Coin laundry at the hotel if you need. Very friendly staff. You can see the plattforms from the windows at the hotel. Very central hotel close to Nara tourist center..

I'm so split aboit this hotel. The price is so reasonable, 11.000 yen per room in Nara is equal to nothing. The room was a bit small but still ok. Old, but clean. I don't remember to have noticed anything wrong. BUT the breakfast man... that was a torture. We've been there for 5 days amd have eaten EVERY morning... More

Our last hotel before we left Japan was this one. We arrived after 3 so we could easily check in. The staff was nice and spoke English well. The lobby was small but had some reading material, even some in English, and a small "convenience" shelf that had 100 yen stuff, some of which was cheaper than at the stores... More

Best selling point: Location. It's just a short walk outside JR Nara Station. There're also a few minimarts nearby. The hotel and room was quite outdated, however was reasonably clean. Bedroom was a bit small, but it was ok just for one night. Staff was quite helpful with our questions and spoke English very well.

We were here for just one night, and it was ok for that. The room was small, even for Japanese hotels, with the smallest cubicle bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. The air conditioning did not work, and so the room heated up very quickly. We slept with the window open. Fortunately Nara is pretty quiet. The fittings... More

For what you pay not ideal, average breakfast and room but very friendly staff. Closer to all the relevant attractions and very handy for the train station. Would probably look elsewhere next time as a lot of choice available. Must do better.
