The hotel is right on the highway so coming from Kyoto it was really easy to find. The staff are very very friendly and very very helpful as we wanted to go to Nara park and look at some temples. We had no problem as they advised us where to park and gave us a map so we would not... More

Big hotel, not new but room is clean, comfortable bed and spacious room for japan standard, love the small garden view outside my window. And has a nice garden view at breakfast area. But location a bit far to nara park. Around 10 mins walk to nearest subway station.

Very nice modern hotel, free WiFi, and they give you a free bath-pool coupon to each guest, which is located in the basement of the hotel. Yes, you will have to totally undress and share the big bathing room which has a big walking pool, a jug-zee, and a big hot tub. If you do not feel comfortable sharing the... More

This hotel is located in the west end of Nara´ s city center. Further away from Nara park with its temples, but closer to ruins of ancient Heijo palace and some "kofun" tombs. Takes 5 minutes walk to subway station and another 3 minutes to get to city/center temples area from there. I can´ t say much regarding the hotel... More

We didn't book sufficiently early to have any choice of hotel - had wanted to stay in Kyoto for the festival but everywhere was booked! We paid 48.000 Yen for 3 nights, room only, and 1,400 Yen each for breakfast per day at the Nara Royal. Excellent breakfast with huge choice of Western and Japanese hot and cold foods. Hotel... Clean, well equipped, and friendly/helpful staff. Room size only average. It's a 10 minute drive from the town centre and sights which may not suit everyone. They operate a free shuttle bus to and from the centre which we used and it worked ok apart from us being confused at first as the drop of and collection points are not... More

The hotel smells of cigarettes smoke the minute you step into the foyer. If you smoke, then this is the hotel to book. They should have an enclosed room for smokers in the foyer so that other guests are not affected. Smoking floor is really not suitable for non smoker. Rooms are small with no space for luggage or a... More

It's a good hotel, nice rooms (not very big but in Japan even rooms in houses are small!), very clean and nice sushi restaurant downstairs. No room service and very few people speak English!!! Even at the reception they can't speak English. Otherwise nice people working at the hotel...if you're able to communicate!!
