This hotel was perfect aside from three things: a bit overpriced for a japanese style room with minimal bedding, walls are VERY thin, and no internet in rooms. the staff were very kind and courteous and spoke good english. they let us borrow umbrellas, and held our luggage for us the day we checked out. If you don't get any... More

I liked this hotel very much, we could only stay 2 nights as it was booked out, so after our 2 days we moved on. The situation is great, very good coffee & breakfast 2 mins walk.....down the lane on the left a wonderful grill & bar, servicing very good Japaness good. The rooms are small the bathroom even smaller... More

I spent two nights at the People's Inn Hanakomichi. It is very conventiently located in the town center and easy to find - there are new signs. The room I had was spacious, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the walls are thin so if you mind hearing other guests, this might not be the right for you. The staff spoke little... More

My girlfriend and I were stopping through Nara for one night to see the bowing deer. We selected this hotel on the basis that it was well located and this was clearly apparent when we arrived as it sat very centrally just off the main strip in Nara. The hotel also offers good value for money. The interior is a... More

The place was very close to Kintetsu Nara station, less than 2 minutes walk. It is located in the middle of a shopping lane with Mcdonalds, Daiso, souvenir shops and eateries nearby. Took us less than 5 minutes to reach the tourist information centre and less than minutes to arrive at the Nara deer park. There is also a bus... More

This hotel is located at a street with lots of food and shops. It is also a nice long walk to the major attractions of Nara. The hotel has an old look (it could be on purpose as it is called an 'Inn') but everything is very clean and complete. We booked a double room and it was very spacious.... More

We liked the hotel's great location just a minute away from the Nara Kintetsu station and walking distance from the major sights like Todaiji and Kasuga shrine. The hotel room was also reasonably priced. The room itself was run-down and dark. The carpet was pretty worn out and needs to be replaced. The bedcovers didn't look very clean either. Soundproofing... More

Cheap hotel in the center of Nara. Nara shuts down at 7pm (or at least that happened to us) so being in the centre gives you the opportunity to explore the few restaurants or izakaya open. It was clean enough, the building a bit old as the carpet, but our room was big, European big. We did not eat there... More

I spent a night there with my Japanese friend and her daughter. We had a Japanese-Western Room. There are two beds in the room and a tatami area, where they had put a futon for the third person to sleep. It was actually quite comfortable. The bathroom is tiny, but was clean. The room provided a hot water pot and... More

Nice location right in the city, close to restaurants and shopping, and not far from the sights. Beautiful Japanese style rooms - really lovely. My tip is to stop off at the tourist info as soon as you step off the train and they will point you in the right direction. Be aware that the front desk didn't speak any... More
