Came with family from Japan and communication from hotel staff beforehand was really wonderful since we were coordinating coming from the US. We were treated to all sorts of unexpected and kind extras which made our trip special and incredibly memorable since our time with family in Japan is always limited. This alone was well worthwhile. The Japanese influenced French food from the nearby Toba area ocean was enjoyable and the onsen experience was really relaxing. Can't say enough about the kindness of the staff having talked with most of them. Thank you!

A family visit to Japan during spring break and stayed here a couple of nights to visit friends in Toba. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese environment. Then this is a great place to stay. Onsen There are 4 separate onsen baths (in the men’s) including an outside deck which was open and looked out to the Sea and the countryside. Really nice facility. closed during part of the day for cleaning so u can use it in the morning and late afternoon/evening Food Breakfast and Dinner was traditional Japanese food, really delicious and there was a lot of it. It was one of the highlights of our trip. My wife and I lived in Japan awhile back and the meals here rate as some of the best we have ever had. There was a traditional Japanese Dancing and a cooking demonstration after dinner. General notes: They lay on a hospitality bus to get to the hotel. Takes 20mins. 3 separate times 2.30pm to 4.30pm. After that get a taxi. Rooms We were in room 103 and had a private bath outside on the balcony. It was a big room with a separate bedroom with 2 single beds. Our 2 kids slept in the main room on futons. We checked out some of the other rooms and they were smaller but could fit 4 people sleeping on futons. But looked snug. Ask for non smoking room. Staff Falling over themselves to help us out. One the the servers was the owners daughter and spoke some English, (we spoke some Japanese) and was very helpful. The owner was walking around at both breakfast and dinner times and was really helpful. The hotel is about 20mins from Toba, but accessible by taxi if you want to sightsee. Hope this helps.
