Good breakfast / good space for coffee / perfect localization / good attendance of people / fare price too. Really close to Utsunomiya station. Bedroom sizes are better than the average of japanese hotels
Location: under 2 min walk from JR Utsunomiya, just turn right upon leaving station west exit. Rooms: almost brand new, spotless, with all modern comforts and larger than usual Jap business hotels. Beds were also comfortable. Staff were efficient, and breakfast was delicious. I stayed at this hotel for my 2 days Nikko trip, and it's 43 min 682 JPY train ride (once per hour) one way to Nikko. It's a cheaper + more comfortable + surrounded by many shopping and dining options. Nikko is very quiet at night.
I highly recommend this hotel. I have stayed here 2 times for a couple weeks. Each stay, the room was very quiet and very clean. The breakfast, although the same everyday, was consistently good. Also the biggest benefit of this hotel, is that it sits onto of a fabulous and entertaining train and shopping center. Every night it was a great time looking for dinner in the shopping center. It was very memorable experience and I would stay here again just for the chance to explore the station and mall.
Great location next to the station, big rooms and bathroom, clean, nice service. Many food choices nearby, and stores. No noise from the trains. Good breakfast, and only gym on site hotel. Gym is big and new. Will stay again.
My first time at the R Mets. Very impressed by the service and staff. Included breakfast was very nice and also has workout room and laundry. Hotel is also very clean. Highly recommended for your stay in Utsunomiya!
This is a basic, no frills hotel, located in a central position adjacent to Utsunomiya station. The 'superior' room was clean and quiet, of a similar standard to Premier Inn rooms in the UK. I had a room overlooking the town. The rooms overlooking the station were not as quiet. The western breakfast was average; one cereal choice, stale croissants, toast (no butter!) fruit, fruit juices and coffee. For a basic hotel costing £60 per night, it does the job without excelling.
Stayed here back in 2016 and again just this month. It is my first choice of hotel when travelling through the area. Stayed here for a week and the room was spacious for two. There was also a mini kitchen and washer/dryer which was so nice to have in order to prepare snacks and clean clothes during the stay. On the 4th floor is a gym and a coin operated washer/dryer. On the 5th floor there is a guest lounge/business center. This lounge was so comfortable and spacious to just relax in, read the books in the library, watch tv, or enjoy free coffee from the dispenser. If you need a computer and a printer, it is also available in that room. Breakfast is a buffet and the menu is the same everyday, so if you stay there a while, it can be redundant. However, there are many restaurant options and stores immediately outside the hotel. The airport limousine bus is a short 4 minute walk from this hotel and access to the trains are about 2 minutes away. Note that this hotel is at the end of the Utsunomiya Station and the access to trains is in the middle and the airport limousine bus stop is across the street on the other end.…
This is a great place to stay if your in utsunomiya. It is in a great location within walking distance of tons of resturaunts transportation and conveyance stores. Hotel is clean quiet and comfortable. Bonus for us smokers is it has smoking rooms. Staff is great and breakfast is included.
Solid place to stay. Convenient to shops / restaurants in/around the train station. Room spec is identical to the Richmond & Daiwa Roynet. One of the only places in town with an exercise room. Good breakfast... choose from 3 standard options or just stick to the buffet bar where you can have penne pasta, hash browns, and salad for breakfast!
The RMets is a very good business hotel. It is part of the train station which has a nice grocery store, Starbucks, a decent cocktail bar, Grande Marche and other conveniences. The staff was very helpful and the rooms clean and welcoming. Highly recommend
