The hotel room was not clean. I did not comfortable there at all. We get a room with share bathroom, what was fine but in the other room was naked and super drunk japanese old man who did terrible noises, so we could not even sleep. In the end we switch a room, but the smell of the bathroom and... More

Me and my friend are travelling Japan and we went to Nikko to explore the traditional town. We stayed here for two nights, which were probably the most sleepless nights I've had throughout the trip. The host was sweet, however the room was not. It was brown and boring, and beds were dark and claustrophobic. I liked the balcony and... More

When you travel to Japan, specially for cities like Nikko, which are considered one of the best spots in the country, even choosing a simple hotel, you expect to have a "japanese experience". Well, this is not the case. First, when we arrived in the lobby, we saw a very disorganized place with an USA flag (wt*???). Second, the person... More

The hotel was just across the road from the train station. Our double room had attached bathroom, both were very clean. The kitchenette added a nice touch, although no coffee or tea was provided. There was an electric blanket, but it was not really needed because the heating was sufficient. We had a corner room and the views were good.... More

The hotel located just opposite the Tobu Station and within walking distance (Approx 2km) to Tosho-gu shrine. It is a no frill clean hotel equips with all necessary amenities. The hotel has english speaking receptionist and she is very kind to upgrade my room without extra charge after seeing us travelled with a toodler. Do prepare some food for dinner... More

We booked total 4 rooms. Best room - cost a bit more money, room with private attached bathroom on level 4. The room is renovated with newer appliances, newer fittings and comes with small kitchen. The family room (#04) with bunk bed (queen size on lower deck, single on upper deck) has lower ceiling and rusty water boiler - unable... More

This "hotel" is located centrally, just across the road from Tobu Station and the bus station, and five minutes up the road from the JR Nikko station. Instead of the expected hotel room, we effectively got a furnished apartment, complete with kitchen, fridge, microwave, an occasional table with chairs and a balcony to the front! The only problem with being... More

I went to Niko by JR line to Niko station which was about 15 minute walk to the hotel. It’s nearer if you go by the Tobu train to Tobu station with less than 5 minute The room was bigger size if compare with usual Japanese hotel room. There was the microwave Owen in the room so you have alternative... More

To be honest, we were about to cancel our trip to Nikko as everywhere else was sold out and the recent reviews for this place sound terrifying. I am glad we didn't! We had booked the double en suite and instead were given the triple, which turned out to be a regular Japanese studio apartment with kitchenette and balcony (minus... More

This hotel is literally a stone's throw away from the Tobu Nikko train terminal and is diagonally opposite the bus stop from where one can find convenient buses to cover practically all points of popular interest in the Nikko region. There's a huge supermarket near the backside of the hotel (from where we bought some finger food for the night),... More
