All rooms have a superb view facing the Kinugawa River! One of Japan's famous hot springs, you should stay here when you come to Japan. A wabi-sabi inn where you can enjoy the four seasons along the valley. You can spend a relaxing time while listening to the babbling of the river. Dinner is authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by the head chef with sincerity, using plenty of local ingredients. You can enjoy the taste of Tochigi and the seasonal colors. The spring quality of the hot spring is alkaline simple hot spring. It is a smooth hot spring that is good for beauty and blends smoothly into the skin. Every Saturday, you can enjoy a fresh rose bath only in the women's bath.

Came up for the weekend to relax and escape the heat of the city. The hospitality was outstanding as our inquires were helpfully answered, the wait staff was attentive to our needs, and our requests were fulfilled. The view from the room of the gushing river was green and prime for the weekend’s fireworks - there was a local summer festival. The only complaint was the room’s temperature - it was warm as the air conditioning apparently does not pump the same amount of cool air into each room.

Hotel's Favorite
We were actually a little hesitant to book based on the reviews, but our experience exceeded expectations. Past reviews have complained about poor service, but we didn't experience any of that here. I'd like to commend April for being especially kind and helpful throughout our stay, and she spoke perfect English too. The only thing that could have been better would be if the rooms were newer. However, the rooms are all spacious, have great views, and excellent value for the price. We were so satisfied that we extended our stay here!

It's by the river so the view is great. There's an outdoor onsen also facing the river. Other than that, the hotel is old. The dining room is too warm (AC not working) and it was unpleasant during the hottest days in the area. Food was just ok. Nothing special.

The hotel is nice and rooms are bigger than normal Japanese however facilities are old and also there were many insects inside the room and lobby of the hotel. The breakfast was good and variety of Japanese food. When we arrived they gave us Yukata to wear inside the hotel which is nice! The room view was great!
