The staff was outstanding and very friendly. The rooms were very clean but somewhat small. However, the facility is very dated and doesn't appear to have been renovated in the last 20 years. Had a drink at the bar on the ground floor and thought I had been transported to Vegas in the 1950s. Ok for the area, but dissappointing...

Easy access from train and buses but not much to hotel itself. Crappy restraunt, no pool, no gym. Near a mall with eating g options. Not a good hotel for relqxing. Good for biz visits only. No English TV stations. Would look elsewhere if going back. Staff friendly. Generally clean although dated.

Unlike some hotels I've visited in Japan, the room was quite spacious with basic necessities. Bed was super comfortable, bathroom was clean and maintained. Also great customer service. The only drawback for its room is the noise. I can clearly hear what's going on upstairs. However, before my trip, there was a systematic error from its website. When I called...

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were in transit from southern to northern Japan. We walked into a very smart and huge reception area that whetted the appetite - and then - oh dear! The room was spacious by Japanese standards but it was appalling, cigarette burns in the carpet and on the furniture, food crumbs liberally dispersed...

Stayed here on business. Room was comfortable and clean. The furnishings were a little dated. The lamp shades look like some sort of art deco theme. The bed was comfortable. The TV had only Japanese language channels. Wi-Fi was good. I stayed on the 9th floor. No problem with street noise. The restaurant was on the 9th floor too. American...

You can reach this hotel from Haneda Airport via Airport Limousine bus. The hotel is immediately seen from the Hon Kawagoe bus station. The hotel is generally OK. Rooms are well kept and more spacious. There are a bunch of food choices around the area. Will definitely book when I'm back in Kawagoe.

They gave us smoking rooms as they were "fully booked" however they then asked us to pay extra for a better class of room that was non-smoking. Terrible service. The hotel is tired and overpriced. They turned the air-conditioning off overnight which was awful as the windows can't be opened. Never ever would I stay here.

Rather different from Tokyo hotels in that the rooms are large, with expansive views across the town. While all surfaces were clean, and everything worked as it should, the hotel is showing its age and, by Japan standards, badly needs a refurbishment. To see damaged and scuffed furniture, and badly stained lamp-shades (see pictures with this review) is quite unusual...

The Kawagoe Prince is an older hotel. One night was enough. It is very clean, not too noisy and close to a station. It does most things OK, but nothing very well. For the money I have stayed in much better. A redeeming feature is the Starbucks at the entrance closest to the station, a god place for breakfast.

clean comfortable rooms of good size. Breakfast is poor, almost zero fruit available though there are several Asian choices and adequate western varieties the choice is limited. The bar is ok but with smoking the norm is unpleasant to those who no longer have to endure smelling of tobacco. The bar prices are ok except for wine of which they...
