This is the perfect place to stay and this can be cheaper than Tokyo, yet, you can catch train to go pretty much anywhere. Shin-Yokohama is one of the station all bullet train stops. It also connect to web of many train system that spread to other parts of Japan. If you are arriving from Haneda Airport, then I would... More

We moved from one hotel in Yokohama to this hotel for the rest of the week. The room is the size of a shoebox and i normally don't feel claustrophobic but the way the window is positioned it gives the illusion that the room is so tiny. The beds must be micro twins because they are so small. There is... More

Stayed here for a week, loooong business trip. Nicely located, 100-150 meter from Shin Yokohama Station. Bear in mind, this is Shin Yokohama, a new town just 12 mins (by subway) from Yokohama station. This hotel, nicely located, many groceries, restaurants and nice neighborhood. The room was small, but this is Japan. Many or most hotels are much smaller than... More

We spent several days in Kyoto and returned to Yokohama for my husband's conference. Our two children (8 & 11) noticed the faster pace of the city and were anxious to get to the hotel to regroup. The front desk staff were extremely professional and pleasant, intuitively booking us at a higher floor for an amazing view. The rooms are... More

Chic and nice grand entrance with mall attached. Expectation runs wild but upon entering the room.. oh dear.. room is small. Toilet is like aeroplace compact size. The view is great at 21st floor and central location

My wife and I stayed at the Shin Yokohama Prince hotel for five nights over Spring Break. I chose to stay in Yokohama because of its proximity to Tokyo and Kamakura. We reserved a Sky-View Double. Check in was quick and efficient. When we stepped into the room I thought to myself, “this is the size of my closet”. The... More

I stayed few days at this nice hotel. I wanted to change the room which was right behind of elevators which was kindly arranged by the lobby reception. Very good fitness facilities are connected to the hotel. Brekfast is one of the best ones I have received, both continental and japanese cuisine. I can recommend this hotel warmly.

Hotel is located approx. 5 minutes walk from Shin Yokohama JR station. Rooms small but comfortable. Attached to the hotel is a nice shopping centre with other shopping nearby. Shuttle bus to airports(Narita and Haneda). Views from the upper floor rooms wonderful at night.

The room was comfy, clean and it provided great view of Yokohama (23rd floor). The sight was exceptional in night. The interior wholly was interesting! We could found station, shopping malls and other services nearby which was conventional for short stay.

Stayed at Shin-Yokohama Prince Hotel after travelling from Tokyo on the Bullet Train. Incidentally a ride on the Bullet Train is a must for all first time visitors to Japan. This hotel was excellent good sized rooms and sumptuous breakfast provided. Since we were with a party of tourists the hotel was very central for all our excursions.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Shin Yokohama is a sculptured, urban-style building rising 42 floors above ground. The gentle, cylindrical shape gives it a futuristic appeal. Just 16 minutes from downtown Tokyo, the hotel is connected to the Shin Yokohama Shinkansen Station and the Shopping Plaza Prince Pepe, making it a convenient hub for both business and leisure activities. The area surrounding the hotel is in itself a large amusement complex featuring various sports facilities, including a skating rink, indoor tennis courts and bowling alleys. Also nearby are the landmarks of exotic Yokohama city, Chinatown, the hillside parks and the Yokohama Bay port. ... more   less
