I booked and stayed in a double room with my teenage son at the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama-Kannai. When I checked in, I was told that I should have paid for another room for my young teenage son, meaning that my son and I would have had to get two (2) separate rooms. However, if I had stayed with my wife, we could share one (1) room. I see no logic in this and resented the fact that the clerk made it sound like I was somehow ripping the hotel off and that the hotel was doing me A FAVOR by letting my son stay in the same room with me THIS TIME AND THIS TIME ONLY. Heed my advice and stay at a better hotel. You'll be happier. I WILL NOT BE STAYING AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

We chose this hotel as we were in Yokohama for the rugby. Im not sure if we would have wanted to vist Yokohama otherwise. the hotel was easy to find - a short walk fro the train station. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but functional (standard Japanese size really) The brakfast included a variety of foods both Japanese and western, but I'm not sure if it was worth 1300 yen. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel.

Nice hotel, very clean, central to everything. Restaurant right next door with great coffee! Walking distance to harbour, eateries galore, huge theme park, museums and china town. And a beautiful park right across the street. Great location!

The hotel suited our purpose for one night. Not very big but the room was OK, staff OK, breakfast sort of OK, Within walking distance of waterfront or short cab ride. Lively locality with bright lights at night
