The service of the staff was perfect. We chose Japanese food for dinner and enjoyed a fulfilling meal because there were few users. Next time, I want to try French cuisine. We want to stay again in this September, where we can enjoy the autumn colors.
I had booked the hotel for four nights getaway, but ended up leaving after one because of: 1. You really need a car to get around 2. Couldn't eat at a hotel restaurant because full 3. Wanted to exercise but hotel doesn't have a fitness center - how is this possible? 4. Hotel pumps sulfide smell around the rooms and public areas. Don't want my clothes to smell. 5. Housekeeping substandard. I had eaten on the bed and linens/pillows not changed. 6. Globalist amenity was four mandarins Won't return.
We loved everything about this hotel, including the free shuttle service, beautiful location, wonderful staff, and free cocktail hour. The food was delicious (and expensive), but we have no complaints!
Friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. Happy hour with free drinks (4 - 7). Very modern, updated rooms. Great view. Food quality is very good but pricey. Would definitely stay there again. The only downside was a lack of supervision at the public bath as there was a small baby (not potty-trained) in the bath, which is obviously a huge turnoff.
It was a quite stay at Hyatt Regency Hakone. The hotel is located in the midrange of the Hakone hills and you can take the shuttle from Odawara station. The hotel itself is well maintained and has east and west wings connected by the living room on floor down from the reception level. There are 4 floors of guestrooms and the room is quite spacious with a balcony where you can enjoy some tea or sake there. And of course, you are here for the onsen experience and Hyatt Regency Hakone does a wonderful job providing you just that experience. I loved the onsen experience. It would be better if there is open-air onsen but you really could not ask for more. At the end of the day, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Regency Hakone but it really takes some efforts to walk from Gora station back to the hotel. …
