One of my splurges for this trip to Japan. It was the end of our trip after two weeks of non-stop movement and decided to end it with a night at Hakone. This place was beautiful. It was a small hotel, but felt very spacious. We were on the 5th floor suite room 54. My friend and I loved it....

We had a corner suite room with our own onsen. Wake up to lovely mountain views and running river sounds. Unbelievable! For suite rooms, you have your own private dining room. The dinner was lovely! It was brimming with the best quality organic vegetables! We loved it. They speak very good English at reception, they were helpful with the free shuttle...

I booked 1 night stay at Hakone Manatee because my mum would like to have hot spring bath during our Tokyo trip. She isn't sure about having the bath naked in the public hot spring so I decided to go with the suite with a private onsen in our room. Just a reminder to visitors, traditional Japanese hot spring is...

Only negative is we were clearly told by the staff one drink each was included with the dinner at the restaurant...yet at the end were forced to pay a big unexpected bill when we left. Beautiful hotel. Great views. Very close to the train...Easy walk with luggages...Ignore the morons who say you need to take a bus which takes forever....

We booked two nights at the Manatee. We called ahead of our arrival (took the Odayku express from Shinjuku station and then the local one to Koukadani station), a staff member was there within minutes to pick us up. It is a short, downhill walk from the station, but not recommended with luggage. The property is a bit old but...

30 min bus ride away from Hakone station. It located on the high altitude with a great view. Room (the private on suite onsen) are spaces with plenty of space and the onsen are excellent! The tatami tea area are so relaxing. Excellent experience highly recommended.

When we decided to spend our honeymoon in Tokyo and Kyoto, it became clear that a weekend in Hakone would be needed. After talking with friends and determining we wanted a private onsen, we found one available at Hotel Manatee. It was rather expensive - one of only two drawbacks - but mostly worth it inclusive of the dinner, breakfast,...

Beautiful hotel in the Hakone area. The Onsen experience is second to none. The public bath was spacious and for those wanting privacy they allow 2 private onsen areas. The morning and evening meals were delicious and adequate. We did not feel hungry after the meals. We took the bus from the train station and the bus stop was right...

Our initial plan was to take the 8 minutes walk from Kowakidani Station to reach the hotel on our check in day. However, upon reaching Kowakidani Station, we found that there were no pedestrian paths on either sides of the winding roads. With a medium sized luggage and a 4 year old kid, we were quite stuck. We were lucky...

We spent 3 days in hakone. Weather was perfect and tons of walking which we wanted. At the end of each day, that being 4 (night came early as it's winter) ... we were glad we got the suite at manatee. Having your own private onsen in the room was worth it. Only thing, the temperature of the onsen was...
