Loved my stay, staff are lovely and full of information about the area. Traditional room was specious and had a nice view of the trees around the property so felt very secluded. Walked approximately 30 minutes with great scenery for dinner and was able to get complimentary transport back to the hotel when it turned dark. Able to book indoor...

Perfect location as a base for exploring Hakone region. We had a wonderful stay at this family run guesthouse. On our first night we were lucky enough to have arrived on the day of a special community event! The owners drove us to the bonfire event where we were so welcomed and we tried all of the local foods and...

We stayed in the building which housed the indoor onsen for 2 nights. The room was very spacious and the bed mats were comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and staff were very friendly. It was also very quiet. We used both the indoor and outdoor onsen which was very refreshing in December. Would happily stay here again.

Positive: - very friendly english speaking staff - very nice private onsen, indoors included in price, outdoors 500yen/person - very clean, tatami rooms, comfortable futon - good location in the hakone mountains - not expensive, even though located in a very expensive area - very tasty european style breakfast with fresh fruits, toast, yoghurt etc. Negative: interior clean but a...

Quaint guesthouse with absolutely wonderful hosts. They played some traditional Japanese instruments for us and showed us some Japanese games/toys. The accommodations were nice. The private outdoor onsen was awesome. The staff were super pleasant and friendly. It is a bed and breakfast kind of feel. The room was traditional with tatami mat flooring and a futon mattress for a...

As long as you are prepared that this is shared facilities then you will really enjoy this B&B. But really, it is more of a home stay. Rooms are bright and airy with plenty of room and all are tatami style. There is a nice onsen which is booked by using the handy sign up sheet at reception. Showers are...

The shared bathroom was a real turn off for us. The private Onsen was nice even if restricted to only 30 minutes and scheduled. We hated the shared bathroom. Not acceptable for a hotel that was above $90 a night. The staff were nice but we would NOT go back. Not for the price. Better spend a little more and...

This was one of the favourite parts of our trip. The team are very warm and welcoming. They speak good English. We left ordering our Japan rail passes quite late and got them delivered here and they were really helpful with that. We loved the room which was as good as an expensive ryokan we stayed in. We enjoyed the...

I've been here for 2 nights, the room is spacious and they provide private indoor onsen for free (30mins per room), I think this is their plus plus point as a guesthouse. Owner and staffs are friendly and caring. The location is quite good because the bus stop nearby the guesthouse is a junction stop, can either take Bus S...

Been there with my wife for only one night. This is a guest house, not a hotel, nor a ryokan. And this is just one of the best guest houses I've ever used in Japan. Some bashing comments about the place led me to think some people were expecting impossible things out of it to begin with. We talk about...
