My partner and I were after a traditional ryokan experience to relax after a week spent in Tokyo. We’re so glad we found Rikyuan. From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make out stay memorable. We booked a room with a private onsen and being able to relax

We were searching for a traditional ryokan with private outdoor onsens in an off-the-beaten path area with very good food and not too exorbitant prices and we hit the jackpot with Rikyuan. While we had to take a train to Odawara and then a regional bus to Daigatake (I believe

Hi Marco P, Can't answer about the size of the private bath but I would assume they would fit at least 2 people. The shared ones that you can book are different sizes, one fits 2 and the other maybe 4. The indoor one you can visit any time and when other people are in there is larger again. The water comes from hot springs. Enjoy!
