This is a great hotel. The deluxe rooms are spacious and the dinners/breakfasts are really fun if you are a visitor to Japan. We had our own private dining room and were served an incredible meal containing a number of traditional dishes. We booked the private onsen that overlooked the bamboo forest. Despite snowing outside it was lovely and hot...

This hotel is fabulous. A little unsure at first because of the expense, but after our stay we realised it was worth every penny. Great authentic Japanese experience, lovely big room with roll top bath and very clean. Enjoyed dressing in the traditional clothes and the dinner/ breakfast was amazing. Also booked a private onsen which was lovely and staff...

This was a pretty great hotel and an awesome first experience at a ryokan. I shelled out the extra for dinner/breakfast and the private onsen and both were totally worth it. The portions at both meals were ENORMOUS and delicious. The onsen was super relaxing, though the shower stool was way too small. The staff's English was halting but serviceable,...

Thank you for your visit. The transportation from Haneda to Mount View Hakone is very convenient. This is also the reson we are famous for. To tell the truth, what we are famous for is the White mutifunctional Onsen.Except this, private bath or public bath are both recommendable. We came directly from Narita airport. Take train to Odawara or Hakone-Yumoto station. Take the T-line Hakone tozan bus (Bus go to Togendai) to hotel (about 15-20 mins) and get off at bus stop (Sengokuhara-bunka-centa-mae, 仙石原文化センター前) right in front of hotel. Booked via booking.com for close to S$300/night for a Japanese style room with shared bathroom (at the public onsen...

This place has absolutely beautiful surroundings with mountains trees and hot springs. Mount View happened to be the place we stopped. Private onsen温泉 area is closed off to public, only for you and your mate(and its outside). Also, Japanese style breakfast is definitely worth it! This is perfect 旅館Japanese hotel to stay if you're looking to escape the reality of...

A stay in a ryokan is a must when visiting Japan. No better place than in Hakone famous for its hot springs & natural beauty. After researching Mount View turned out to be the best place overall in terms of value & reviews. We arrived late evening after touring Hakone. Our bags arrived earlier & they kept it safely. We...

Hotel is clean, 33 rooms, and service is okay, English is limited, as all the lady receptionists are from Taiwan, conversant in mandarin and Japanese. Onsen is very good, with both indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is milky white, it's so because of its volcanic properties. Take note: cash only, no credit card. For the half board, both...

I did a lot of research, and Mount View was the best price for value that I could find. I was a bit wary, as I've recently stayed at some places that have ranked highly on here that I didn't think were particularly good. But this place is pretty amazing. 2 meals, public onsen, a nice spacious room for under...

We spent one night at this ryokan and it was lovely. The staff was very helpful, the room was comfortable, and the food was delicious.
