We stayed 2 nights in a Ryokan and wished that it was only one. Everyone says you should experience the traditional Japanese room and if so one night would be sufficient. A very sparse room where the futons were laid out 30 minutes after dinner and packed away 30 minutes before breakfast. The dinner and breakfast were served in your...

Had a lovely experience in this ryokan. We booked it very last minute so we were so pleased to get this experience in a nice place. The location is the dream, so close to the station, and we didn't want to deal with shuttles etc, like many of the ryokans offer in hakone as they are more in the hills....

The location is spot on- it's literally behind the Hakone-Yumoto main tourist street yet not disturbed by the noise. It's doorstep away from Yumoto station & main bus terminal so all your transport needs are met- airport transfer, transfer from Tokyo, touring Hakone. Staff very friendly. I like ryokan in Japan because it's so much bigger than the usual tiny...

The hotel has great location. 1 min from the train station. The staff was very friendly. The Room is amazing, big and very clean. The highlight is the terrace overlooking the river with an open air spring water bath. The private open air onsen is superb!! Dinner is quite good - traditional served in a private room. Same for breakfast...

Only good thing about this place is that is is very near the train station though tricky to find up a side alley. Can push your luggage if on wheels no problem as only few mins from station. Entrance very tired and bit dingy and all staff were old (nothing wrong in being old and commend them for still working...

For toilette seat is small, by the way have bath tube. Also can use free open-air onsen on main building. For Pasoda Annex,...

We decided to try an authentic Japanese ryokan with a hot spring bath. This one was recommended on a hotel booking website. Found it to be in need of much updating. Staff spoke reasonable English but we're very belittling to both myself and my husband who are not Japanese so were unsure of certain customs. Private hot spring bath was...

Stayed in this hotel 1 night during our trip. The location is great, very close to the train station hence we just walked with our luggage across the pedestrian bridge. Accommodation includes dinner and breakfast, a lot of food and of course all fish but it was amazing to try all this new food. The lady serving the food didn't...

Excellent location, 5 min walk from the Hakone-Yumoto Station on the overhead bridge, next to shops and restaurants, but didn't need them so much because the package came with a full Japanese breakie and dindin. Host was excellent with very good English. Baths were great, clean and not too busy. Love the first time experience.
