A fantastic hotel, in a great location, just by the river. Considering there is no railway station in the area, the hotel provides a free shuttle to and from JR Kaga onsen station. When you arrive at the hotel, the entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel location allows for a great rotenburu (outdoor onsen), where you sit...

I stayed this hotel a few times visited to Hakone. Excellent location near to the train stop, good osen facilities. I tried the modern room and Japanese room with private bath, both are the comfy room to stay. In room dining with nice food materials. Strongly recommended!

This hotel did not disappoint. We do feel it was a bit overpriced but was still good, considering the rate included breakfast & dinner. They we're very strict with check-in time - absolutely no way of getting in prior to 3pm. Same with check-out - absolutely not late check-outs are granted. We walked around a bit while we waited for...

If I was visiting Japan I'd want to stay in a ryokan. I did, and I did. Although this was a large hotel, it did not feel that way. The welcome was lovely, the setting superb and the room beautiful. Compared to hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto, our room was huge, with a traditionally furnished tatami area and a slightly...

Stayed in a standard room with river view. Large and clean room. No wifi available in the room, but can be accessed at the first and second floor lobbies. River view is underwhelming (more of a brook) but the sound of it is quite relaxing. Public onsen is fantastic. There are public onsen on 2nd and 6th floors, separated by...

Very convenient location that is just 7mins walk from Hakone Yumoto Station. Book a room with private onsen so the little one can take a dip and enjoy the experience for his first trip to Japan! The room is really huge that I believe can accommodate 4 pax comfortably. When you first enter, there is the entrance and hallway that...

The sound of the river nearby is very relaxing put us to sleep at night. The room get a little warm so the window need to be opened most of the time...

excellent service from a to z! most friendly welcome and extremely helpful staff. suitable for western travelers as the Japanese rituals for bath, food and clothing are easy to follow. sleeping on the floor where your living room I converted each night to sleeping quarters with mattresses on the floor needs some adaption from western visitors. food is excellent (japanese...

This is a nice traditional Japanese hotel with onsen facilities. Room is clean and spacious. Since it's next to the river, it's a bit noisy if you open the room window. Air conditioning is not so good, tend to be on the hot side. Traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast are included. Both are good but surprisingly I like the breakfast...
