Stayed one night as part of my tour - room is adequate for 3 person, tatami style. Cleanliness is acceptable but furnishing is a little dated. Toilet is a little small and old. Tv in room is small and only has local channels. Dinner in hotel is buffet style. The variety is not too bad and food quality is acceptable....

Wanted a ryokan stay at the famous Yokonowa Hotspring, Hakodate. Not understanding the Japanese language and reviews, we settled on this large hotel based on the convenient location and some what awesome ratings and reviews. Getting there was easy enough except a small mixed up due to a similar named Hotel directly across the road. Take no 6/96 bus from...

As my family and I were traveling in a group tour, we were given a smoking room. As it was winter, we could not open the window for too long to try to clear the...

This is a Japanese onsen hotel. It may seem a bit redundant to add 'Japanese' here but that is very much what it is: an onsen hotel catering to Japanese (tour group) tourists. It is a huge hotel with an enormous lobby and a number of sizeable restaurants which do buffets for which most of the guests have paid in...

A good Japanese themed hotel, mostly locals visit. Staff/Reception The staff were friendly Room We stayed in a tatami room, it was clean, spacious too. During the day, the low table is put in the middle with hot water, tea and cookie for each of us. When you go out to have your dinner, the staff will come in and...
