We had planned a vacation in Hokkaido. On our way up, we decided to make a top in Hakodate and booked Pension Yumekukan as it had received good reviews and the place looked comfortable. Staying at this guesthouse for one night. The good things about this guesthouse are: located at the heart of all the attractions in Hakodate, free parking, the shower room in the Japanese room was nice and big, the breakfast was very tasty and cute, quiet room. Feels like somebody's home. Everything was as if they have never changed since the 80's. No LCD TV, but a hightech shower. Brings back lots of nostalgia of a sweeter, slower, and simpler, yet more substantial life. Not a specks of dust anywhere. A wonderful owner, who made breakfast with eggs, bacons and bread as if you were waking up...

My friends and I stayed there for a couple of nights. They serve hearty breakfast and the accomodation is very clean and well-kept.
