Hakodate Morning Market is just 1 or 2 minutes' walk behind this hotel. Basic breakfast was served during my 2 nights' stay. Relatively clean. Staff were friendly. Accessible to JR Hakodate station. Highly recommended for a simply stay.

Stayed here for one night during our visit to Hakodate. We were able to leave our bags in the morning and roam around all day and check in at night. The room was small but neat. Breakfast was basic. The hotel was walkable from the main railway station and also very close to the

Firstly please note this is a small family type old hotel. You need to walk up the short stairs at entrance to the lobby. There is only one very small lift on ground floor carpark that you can use to access to all the floors, including lobby. Maximum can take only 2 big luggages & 2/3 persons. If this lift ever breakdown, you need to climb stairs. The rooms corridor is very narrow as well. We stayed in a room for 5 persons. Even the room entrance is very narrow. Also take note generally all toilets in Japan are small. For our room we had separate bathroom & toilet bowl ones. Note the toilet bowl one is so small, its just enough room for one to sit on the bowl. I would recommend to look for a bigger size hotel with bigger lifts & facilities. There are a few in same area.

"There's a lift on the ground floor (walk abit inside the car park). Do not need to carry the luggage up the steps to checkin on L2."
"Value for money"
"If you are going heavy carry-ons, let the recep know. They will unlock the lift for you."
"The Japanese rooms are very nice but they are futons on Tatami mats so if you are not used to hard beds then it may not be the best choice."
