I stay there for 3 nights and it was very nice. Not far from the jr station ( good if you want to go to izumo for instance) and not far from the castle. The people working there where very friendly, the room was clean and quiet and the public bathroom with a view on matsue very nice.

This onsen hotel is located in the city center. The onsen is on the top floor of the hotel, you can even walk out to the balcony to enjoy the city view, a unique experience. The hotel staffs are very friendly, although the room is a bot worm down, the hotel is still impressive to me.

Stayed at Notsu Ryokan for 4 nights. Our bedroom overlooked the river and it was lovely looking out in the morning, seeing the city slowly getting ready for work and play. The room smelled of fresh tatami, nice and inviting scent. It was spacious and have an attached bathtub and toilet. There is also a small public onsen bath available,...

I had a very pleasant stay, enjoying the spacious room with its tatami mats and futon, and a very nice view over the lake. I also enjoyed the communal bath; a first-time experience for me. It was not clear from the web that my room would have a bath, but it did, which was a relief! The staff was wonderful...

I looked around Matsue for the best value for a family of three. We like sleeping on the floor on the futons, it's safer for our 2 year old daughter and more what were used to at home, and Notsu Ryokan had the best deal. No need to get food in the room, there are tons of great restaurants nearby....

I really enjoyed my time at Notsu Ryokan. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help with anything. My room was amazing; a traditional Japanese style (futon on the floor) with everything well-kept and clean as well as modern toilet and shower rooms. I didn't use the shower though as the ryokan's Japanese baths were so brilliant. In...

Modern style Ryokan with high quality rooms, but very limited service (no towels in the O’furu ~ unheard of!) Located in the south of Matsue this ryokan is of a good standard and the rooms in very good condition. The o’furu is large but poorly equipped by Japan standards. Food was good and plentiful served in the dining room; fast...
