The exuberant reviews had me excited even though the location wasn't as close to the train station as I wanted to be. So there was all you can eat free ice cream available right infront of the reception. There is one flavour, I think it is vanilla. There are also lots of other freebies like bath salts, bath scrubbing thing, and drinks...and porn. This is when I realized why people seem more existed about this hotel than it deserved. There was also a flyer for massage which I'm guessing is in room as well. The room itself was pretty shabby. There are these bizarre cartoon posters everywhere. Maybe it's to remind traveling business men of their children and not to go overboard with the massages. The bathroom was sort of clean. It looked clean but didn't feel clean. There was also a stuffy old smell which I had to open the window to air out. The pyjamas and pillow were adequate. In the bathroom, there was body soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, moisture gel, moisture lotion, and I think make up remover, toothbrush and paste, comb and shaver. The slew of stuff that usually comes with business hotels.…
Simple hotel but worth a stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Free coffee, drinks and snacks throughout the day. Breakfast was decent but filling with a few types of buns and dumplings. Walking to the castle and the stunning Korakuen garden was a simple 10-15 minute walk by turning left once out of the hotel main entrance. The hotel can be reached by turning right once you exit the train station. An easier way is to go towards AEON via underground or aboveground from the train station. The hotel is a few hundred metres facing AEON, across the main road.
A charming hotel with lovely staff. Decor is both dated and a little childish (unless you are a family), but the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Lots of extras in the foyer - ice lollies, breads and drinks for breakfast and bath bombs. Lovely canal nearby. Worth staying off on the way to Naoshima.
The hotel is in a completely walkable location from Okayama Station. There seem to be some bars in the area, so there was noise on the streets late at night, but the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we slept pretty well. The on-site complimentary breakfast included niku-man meat-filled buns and excellent coffee, tea, juice, and other treats (like free popsicles, all day!). Our whole family enjoyed it! A delayed flight meant that we checked in close to midnight, but the staff was completely amenable and welcoming.
This delightful hotel offers so many free amenities! There is a free massage chair in the lobby which was greatly appreciated after a long train ride. Free drinks are available in the lobby 24 hours a day. And they've got free ice cream and free breakfast breads too! I also appreciated the bowl of free bath bombs. The people who work there are so friendly and the room was very comfortable. The hotel is right on the Okayama Canal, which offers a peaceful place to take a walk. I really enjoyed my stay!
