The location of the hotel itself is interesting- right in the historical district. Unfortunately, that's about the only thing it has going on right now. The rooms are clearly well worn, the carpet etc. is stained and in need of replacement, both in the rooms and around the hotel itself. AC worked great, and I didn't notice any odd smells,...

Disappointed... Was expecting something special however rooms very dated ..carpets need cleaning and rooms very small for the price paid.. It's disappointing as the history attached to the hotel is interesting, unfortunately the guest rooms certainly need updating from that period.

The hotel is made from a converted factory - the external and communal areas of the hotel are very pleasant. We stayed in a twin room, which was small, but adequate. The rooms are a little bit tired, but given the location to the sights it was very acceptable and reasonable. Breakfast the next morning was standard for a hotel...

Simply speaking Here is very nice hotel. Because accomodation's price was comparable cheeper, I did'nt expect servies and facility of the hotel. But I found out my thinking was wrong as soon as I got here. Not gougeous and luxurious but simple and good tasteful and friendly enviroment. This hotel renovated from old factory has basic facility, amenity and good location for...

I fell in love with Kurashiki and Ivy Square Inn left lingering good feelings. Upon entering the vicinity, I was welcomed by the red brick arch. Hotel architecture was a record of Kurashiki's heritage, with art deco style furnishing in the lobby. I heard it was once a textile mill during the industrial revolution. Because its an old building there...

Note: this relates to the restaurant only as we did not stay here. The restaurant offered quite a variety of nice meals. We enjoyed various dishes and generally found it nice and tasty. The service was friend and gave us appropriate attention. Do not hesitate to revert here.

1 minutes to go to the main touristic area, so convenient!!! Hotel area is nice old brick designed, but hotel has second floor. Our twin room is old, classic with no nice view. Air condition was too noisy. Recommend to stay for short stay like 1 night. You will go out all day anyway.

We liked the location right in the historic center...Too bad the front desk didn't tell us that we could've walked our the back door directly into it !! Our first trip out, we walked a long block along a busy street on one side, the hotel wall on the other. Luckily found our way back the scenic route. Our room...

Hotel is a bit older but located is a nice area of Kurashiki. Caught a taxi from Kurashiki Station to the hotel because we didn't want to carry the bags that far. The hotel is quite far from the station. Room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. We got the room quite cheap because of a groupon that...

I really liked Ivy Square Hotel. From the moment I arrived and met the friendly South East Asian reception staff I felt comfortable. My room was spacious and quiet and looked out over trees. There is a great outside space and the hotel is right in the middle of the lovely Bikan district of Kurashiki so you can step out...
