I don't generally leave overly negative reviews but I think in this case it fits the bill. The good: This is right next to the Kurashiki hotel, probably can't get any more convenient. About 15 mins walking distance from the historical section of the city (which is likely the main reason for visits to this city). The bad: - The... More

The hotel's safety and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is very good. Next to the Kurachiki Station and close to the tourist attractions area. You can shopping in the department store or walk to canal area in only 15 -20 mins.

Location of the hotel was great, it was right next to the train station, and made it easy for us to find it and get there. it was different as it was located on the 9th floor, and the rooms are from 10-12. The tourist information center was located right below us, so was helpful for us to find out... More

The location is excellent next to railway and bus stations, minor communication problems at checking in but these were solved and it is not their fault I can not speak their language. I had too short notice to get to learn any but I'll know some soon. The room is clean, the bed is comfy and it is quiet, what... More

This is the place for people with connecting trains next morning. Located just above the JR train station, the elevator takes you to the 9th floor for the reception, and some more floors up to the standard business rooms. APA here is old and worn and needs re-furbishment. But if you do not mind old-style (1970s), then APA Kurashiki is... More

Hotel at top-location next to the JR station. Despite this locatie, there was no noise from outside. There was a smell of cigarettes in the room. The cleanliness of the bathroom could be much better. The quality of the bed was low. We never seen the hotelbar open.

The hotel is old, it smells like people have been smoking in there for years. The staff was not overly friendly which I expect in some rural parts of Japan. I had to go on business during a holiday weekend so most of the other hotels I would have stayed at were booked. Kurashiki is a small town so when... More

My Wife, Daughter and I arrived in Kurashiki on 4 October 2011 and went to the local Visitor's Centre to look for accommodation. In some spare time over breakfast that morning I'd checked the 'net briefly for Kurashiki accommodation, and found the Station Hotel as a possible option. However, the desk girl at the Visitor's Centre was having none of... More
