Although this hotel is on the edge of being 'aged' it is still a good place to stay for a 1 or 2 night visit to Kurashiki. Service is good and rooms are clean and quiet. But more importantly it is right on the edge of the historical area of Kurashiki.

Inexpensive (18000 yen for two nights); conveniently located (10 minutes walk to rail station and the main attraction just crossing the road); excellent base for visiting okayama and nearby town; reasonable sized, clean and functional room (sink and shower separated); nice outdoor onsen (avoid mid evenings where it may jam with children). The not to missed is the free ramen...

We needed a hotel for Kurashiki, a stop on our way to Himegi and Osaka, and picked this business hotel through Expedia. It was $135 US which was above our budget, but couldn't find much else that sounded good. What a find! It was a 5 min walk from the station and just across from the Bikan, old quarter of...

About 6 minutes walk from Kurashiki station. It is a business hotel but more. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring on the 11th floor. Free ramen between 9:30 - 11:00 pm. The rooms are well furnished and spacious. I liked the door between entry to the main bedroom. The front desk staff is very helpful to research my train...

We stayed for 4 nights and found the staff friendly and helpful, the free coffee welcome and the rooftop onsen delightful. The convenient location of the hotel to the railway, the historic area and restaurants is a great advantage. The breakfast is good for both Japanese and western tastes. There are useful facilities such as vending machines, washing machines, dryers...

Just 10 minutes walk from the station, this hotel is directly opposite the Bikan historical area making it a great spot to wander around. It is also close to other shopping and restaurants around the area. The hotel is frequented by both business people and school groups. Rooms are not too big but comfortable. Beds and amenities are ample. Plus...

We stayed at the Dormy Inn for 3 days and found it very comfortable. The rooms are clean and modern and the beds are comfortable. The things that make it a great value are : A. Location. It's right across the street from the entrance to the historical Bikan district. B. Breakfast buffet - expansive and tasty C. Free Onsen...

We stayed in Dormy Inns before and found them quite ok. This one was as well. Fair market price for a business/tour group hotel. Excellent location very close to "old town" and Ohara Museum. Has an onsen in the hotel as well as a restaurant but we used neither. Many restaurants nearby. Easy to get to by car or train....

Located near the historical quarter, Dormy Inn is just a perfect hotel with reasonable price. Although it is inside a modern building, there is a nice onsen (hot spring bath) at the highest floor which is absolutely nice. Staffs are helpful and polite. And of course, don't miss its free Ramen when you feel hungry at night.
