The hospitality is exceptional! Hiyoshi san kindly dropped and picked me up to/ from nearby attractions. Hinodeya has a charming vibe that makes you feel at home. Dinner and breakfast are excellent. I recommend to take the full package with dinner and breakfast! Overall I really enjoy my stay at Hinodeya and recommend anyone to stay here for their trip in Izu Kogen. Not to mention, the location is within 10 mins walk from Izu Kogen station and to the starting point of Jogasaki coast trekking course.
It's an amazing place to stay in Izu-Kogen! The room was spacious and it was so affordable. The owner, Tetsuya-san, was very kind and helpful too. He even drove me to around Izu-Kogen and Jogasaki-Kaigan (while giving me helpful information about Izu)! Will definitely stay at Hinodeya again the next time I'm visiting Izu.
The owner was super duper nice!!!! He took us to every spot and also picked us up. They prepared everything for us, like towels, toothbrush, shampoo, even water cleanser and cotton cleansing pads. We were so lucky that we could stay here and enjoyed our trip without any problems thanks to the kindness of the owner. I highly recommend you to stay here, it will be the most perfect choice for your trip!! I will definitely stay here next time if I come to Izukogen.
I had a spacious, traditional room and chose to have the dinner and breakfast, which were incredible!!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and did everything they could for me, including driving me to the station when it was raining! The small onsen is a great bonus as was the free coffee bar. The food was my highlight and was beautifully prepared and laid out. There was so much of it too!! If you want authenticity this is the place for you!
This is a charming family run hotel with excellent amenities including authentic sleeping quarters, meal service and traditional Japanese baths. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again.
Hinodeya is very cozy and clean, with a great bathing area and comfortable space all around. The best part is of course, the service. The family that runs the inn is extremely considerate and they genuinely want you to have an enjoyable trip. This is an excellent stay and I strongly recommend!
Cannot recommend this authentic ryokan enough - apart from the usual, the owners go way and beyond: it was raining cats and dogs during our stay, therefore the owen took us to local home improvement store to get some rain gear - then gave us a lift to Jogasaki Coast for our hike AND picked us up (soaked, fitting) afterwards. They also have cute onsen on premises, if not - have a promotion to visit one 10 mins away. If that is not enough, we got electric bikes to go to Mount Omuro - total highlight of the whole visit. Oh, almost forgot, please, use the massage chair in the lounge - memorable experience :) I thank Hinodeya family for their hospitality!
The owner is most helpful, he picked us up from the train station and drove us to some of the tourist spots. The Ryoken is very comfortable, with a indoor bath, and a public bath within walking distance.
Had a great time at the Ryokan. We had rented a car and was able to park in front of the ryokan. Staff at the reception counter was friendly and took the time to find the right selection of japanese robes for us. The rooms were tatami style and were very spacious for our family of 5. We booked the rooms with dinner plus breakfast and had sumptuous meals served in a private dining room. The baths were great but even better, was the onsen located nearby. The ryokan staff drove us to the onsen even though we set off very late. Great service. Location was good, there was a music box museum and a Daiso nearby.
My review of hinodeya ryokan. Nice cosy ryokan with good service. Close to train station. Owner was helpful and sent us to/from station and also to starting point of our hike. Comfortable and value for money.
