Yokikan is absolutely an amazing place. I love this place. The staff is freiendly. The facility is absolutely stunning. The food is out of this world. Very delicious food. The mixed outside onsen is amazing. This place is an excellent place to stay and relax and enjoy the food. I have been here 2 times and I will keep going back there.
We stayed at Yokikan for one night as a special treat during our honeymoon. It was easy to get to from Tokyo and we were able to use our Japanese Rail Pass to get there. The area surrounding Yokikan is beautiful, sun, sand, and palm trees! We walked to the hotel from the train station which was an easy walk. However, Yokikan also offered to transport us which I thought was very nice. From the outside of Yokikan, it's clear that this is a special place. You take your shoes off before entering, which marks the start of your traditional inn experience. Our traditional room was amazing, and the lady who looked after us was so sweet and accommodating. The view from the room was also beautiful, it is truly a special location. The outside onsen is an amazing experience, and the two inside are also relaxing. The food was the most delicious I have ever eaten, and it was in abundance. I highly recommend staying at Yokikan during your visit to Japan, it is a beautiful experience and opportunity to stay in a traditional inn, and it is run by a lovely team of people. Thank you to everyone at Yokikan for giving us such an amazing honeymoon experience.…
Akihisa Inaba and his wife are the fifth generation of his lineage to run this humble resort. As with most ryokans, the resort centrepiece is the communal hot spring bath. Men and women have separate soaking times and bathers always shower off before submerging into the spa, stark naked with only a small hand towel for coverage. After a few embarrassed glances, my daughter and I checked we were alone and stripped off, sinking into the outdoor pool of natural spring waters – the perfect ‘aching legs’ remedy. Yokikan has remained fairly unchanged for the last 110 years (bar some modern creature comforts such as air conditioning) and boasts a quirky cable car that hauled us straight from the soothing, hot bubbles to the fluffy futon beds in our traditional tatami mat room.
I really love visiting Ito and staying at Yokikan! I stayed in room 305, an upper building room with a great view of Ito and easy access to the outdoor Onsen. The Kaiseki meal, served as private dining in my room, was fantastic. One tip: make sure you have a very small lunch or skip lunch entirely in order to have room for even portion of this amazing kaiseki meal. My meal included abalone, lobster, and a wonderful array of small dishes that were a true treat for anyone who enjoys traditional japanese cuisine. For the experience of staying in a 100+ year old Ryokan, great dining and a fantastic onsen experience I highly recommend Yokikan!
10 分路程可以走到伊東 車站. 日式的房間和露天温泉，古老的電梯，值得一訪，露天温泉的景色極佳。 一泊二食每天都會更換菜色，很用心。 Both breakfast and dinner are also awesome. but of cause I am a big fan of japan food. I have to confess. The Mistress is kind and good communication with English. and quite helpful also. She recommanded that we go to the local museum (which isn't on our list) since it's rainy while our staying. God bless that Ito is an peaceful town with less travellers. I am glad that my family have a nice vacation there. Looking forward to be there soon again. Love it.
