We stayed over weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. This boutique ryokan is perched on hill side secluded location overlooking the bay and Hatsushima Island. Most appreciate the excellent and warm service of manager Arai, Ito who attended us and other staff members. We had an unforgettable culinary journey of French Japanese fusion and traditional Japanese from Chef de Cuisine Miura. Very nicely appointed and spacious room. Watching sun rise and star gazing while in private onzen was blissful. A truly memorable stay. We will surely visit again.
Hospitality and indulgence at Atami. It's almost impossible to fault this establishment. We stayed for 3 nights with our 12-year old daughter and the experience was remarkable and memorable. Pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail; the finesse and passion that goes into food preparation and the curated wine list. We where lucky to spend summer at the start of Hanabi season - brilliant firework display from a vantage point, about 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Transportation; seamlessly arranged, museum tickets and staff are always at hand with useful tips from the best sushi downtown to the scenic beaches nearby. The only thing I would recommend is for the hotel to offer pick up service from train station. Otherwise, we left with beautiful memories and a bag full of freshly baked goodies and jam. Would love to return one day or try other hiramatsu resorts.…
This hotel with good location! Atami is only 45 minutes from Shinagawa! Hotel will arrange atami station pick up for another 10 minutes! I walk to atami castle for 10 minutes! But it seems not many people notice that the best picture taking location is only 20 meter away from the hotel gate! The hotel provide japanese style franch food! Food is good! I like anomalies most! See the picture! They ask our opinion about the food because they want to be good prepare for 2020 Tokyo olimpic!
Yoshi, who attended to my wife and I, made sure all our needs were made. He went out of his way to address all our needs. Chef de Cuisine Katsuya Miura prepared some wonderful meals for us during our stay. Dining at the hotel was like dining in a 1 Michelin Star restaurant. Rooms were well designed and spacious. And bathroom amenities were first class. Compliments to an excellent team of service staff!
First rate service, attentive staff. Hotel is interesting mixture of west and east. Elevator, modern furniture and some Japanese elements. Luxury rooms with in-room onsen and stunning ocean view. Nice small dining room with nice setup and great view. First class French cuisine with local ingredients. I know that resort is run by French restaurant but I would prefer more Japanese style cuisine. Definitely excellent first class hotel. You just have to decide what you are looking for - modern hotel or traditional ryokan.
