Great service. Went there on last minute trip from Tokyo. Get the full board option, the dinner and breakfast was excellent. Spent the day mountain biking with Rikuya in the deep forest. Fun times and highly recommended.

I stayed in a Japanese style room with my husband and infant daughter while on a marriage retreat. This is the perfect getaway if you're looking for peace and serenity. The staff is extremely friendly, and most of the employees that we met were American. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We were there for two days/nights, and one day...

Deep in the Japan Alps, this cozy lodge felt like a refuge far from day to day worries that can pile up. I was completely at ease in the comfortable and spacious common areas, the staff were exceedingly agreeable, and the room and board themselves were both straight up wonderful. After a day of snowboarding, coming back and unwinding at...

Love Northstar! Came here for 3 days to get into some of the amazing road riding in the area, which is epic. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and know the area inside out. Facilities are excellent and the food was great, especially breakfast. Definitely THE place to stay in this area, rooms lovely as well.

Wonderful staff, always friendly and available. Meals were fresh and delicious. So many activities from biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and more. The slopes are a five minute walk from the lodge which has a homey feeling, and really comfy and clean tatami rooms. Great escape from Tokyo!

As I walked into the lounge area of the new NORTHSTAR's Alpine Lodge, I felt like I had just come home. The fire in the fire place blazing, the sun's light shining in through the windows, and most of all, knowing the staff here really cares about people made me feel like I was at home. Plus the food is...

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend at Northstar last week. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and the meals really delicious - real home from home cooking. We had booked a mountain bike tour which was well organised and great fun. We most definately be booking again.

Our family stayed at Northstar. We have 2 small children and they loved it! The Norikura village was a great place for our children to hike both with concrete and dirt trails through the woods. Onsens, restaurants, and other activities were within easy walking distance. The Northstar staff were terrific and the meals were great! The lodge has lots of...

Northstar is fabulous! I have stayed there several times now and have enjoyed the great staff, who are so helpful...the wonderful food and above all the "ambience," the peaceful yet adventurous atmosphere there. So close to everything...the stores, the baths, the slopes and mountain bike trails. Great accommodations! Great staff!
