I found this place by watching some vlog on Youtube. It's an inexpensive ryokan experience. The owner is soooo friendly and speak a really good English, actually. We were there during the low season (Winter) so we had the whole place to ourselve. The traditionnal japanese bath is nice but it was really cold. But that was not a real...

We stayed only one night and regret it as this Ryokan, Japanese style, is beautiful. Completely traditional in its architecture you really feel in Japan. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It is located in the city center, a 10-minute walk from the .. Do not miss I recommend strongly

The lady who runs this ryokan is very friendly and lovely. Nunoya is on the main tourist street, Nakamichi and only a bridge cross the river to 'Frog' street. It was so ggod to stay in the centre of everything: cafes, restaurants, shops, castle, museum... I felt so good with my sleep; warm, comfortable. Every ryokan I stayed has been...

We stayed for two nights in this Ryokan. It was slightly uncomfortable and the pillows got abandoned and changed to a jumper for comfort but despite that, the lady that runs the place has good English and was extremely hospitable, chatting to us about what to do and where to go, providing hot tea and sweets. It seemed wonderfully traditional...

Nunoya is a lovely small ryokan located in historic Nakamichi Street opposite the Scale Museum in Matsumoto. The street itself retains much of the old merchant architecture that is unique to Matsumoto and has some very nice little shops and cafes. It is a 10 minute walk to Matsumoto Castle or a short walk over the bridge to Nawate Dori...

Perhaps we had the wrong expectations, but the mattress was really hard and the pillow was super uncomfortable. It is ok to stay for one night but more than a night you're pushing it. The location is great for the main attractions of Matsumoto including the castle. The owner is very helpful and has good English.

We stayed here for one night. The ryokan was built in 1819 and its lovely wooden stairs are still as beautiful as when they were first built I suspect. Given its age, the building is sound and the area is quiet. Heating in the room is a kerosene burner which is a litte stinky so not good to have on...

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely Ryokan. The house is located in a wonderful street very central in town. Inside the place is nicely decorated. The tatami room was one of our best in Japan: spacious, cosy and great to relax in after a day of exploring Matsumoto. The owner was nice and friendly too. The public bathroom...

Good simple ryokan right in the center, cheap for Matsumoto. Welcoming, the lady speaks English. She accepted my reservation by email, even through everything was heavily booked at that date, my impression is that this place is reserved to foreigners only.

Very nice and peaceful inn in Matsumoto. Not ce and spacious Japanese rooms with dark wooden beams and tatami mats. Onsen bath to share for guests. No leaks are served, and there are plenty of small restaurants and bars around. Very kind hostess speaking a rather ok English and making a fabulous tea! Bestregardsfromfar
