The hotel is very close to the castle: Perfect location! It is also pretty close from the station (less than 10min). The staff is very polite and helpful. They upgraded us and gave us a room with a view over the castle... The room was very confortable and spacious; it was the best room (and best bed, soooo large and comfy) we had during our whole trip through Japan, and it was really pleasant to see the castle from the shower. Thank you again to the staff for upgrading us! We paid around 120€ without breakfast for one night. 100% recommend this hotel when staying in Matsumoto.
We were upgraded to the top floor with a large bathroom with a waterfall shower and a seperate toilet. We had a kingsize bed which was very comfortable. The breakfast was Japanese was good but not terrific. But we were in Japan to enjoy the food. The hotel was in a good location for the castle which was great to see inside. Many restaurants in the city area but menus were mainly in Japanese and they did not want westerners.
We stayed in the town for 3 days, traveled the town and the nature surrounding it. This beautiful boutique hotel is located in a smal6walking distance from the castle and near great restaurants and cafe places. The staff was very professional and so nice, even when they struggled a bit with the language they did the best and help us with everything we needed. Very recommended!
The hotel is close to the castle. The rooms are spacious, clean and have comfortable beds and pillows. This is our seventh hotel in Japan and by far the worst breakfast with cold food, little choice and poor quality. Breakfast is in a cavernous banquet room, with no charm or ambience.
Hotel is situated on a narrow one-way street. It does offer parking for cars. Lift is small, four persons and bags and it is full. Room OK, but the bathroom is really tiny. Breakfast Japanese style mainly.
