We stayed here for one night after coming from Takayama to Kanazawa. The location was ideal as it's only about a ten minute walk from the train station and very easy to find as you can see the building from the train station exit! Suited us perfectly! It's a nice walk then to the gardens and castle, back towards the station and about 20 minutes from there ish. It's a lovely hotel, staff were so nice. Our room was big, really comfortable, quiet and so clean. The 'travel cafe' on site was excellent also, we ate dinner there (the burgers are delicious!). Overall, a excellent base in Kanazawa and good value too.

I booked this hotel via hotels.com. The price is reasonable. Room is clean and big. Toiletries & skin care products like makeup removal, facial lotion / cream can be got from a shelves close to the lift. Not much thing to do around the hotel. 10 mins walk from the Kanazawa station where you can do the shopping & eat. Parking slot available in the hotel or nearby. One day cost around 1000 yen. Staff are helpful & can speak good English. They help me to make several phone call to book the tours.

Checked in with my family and another 4 family’s all with young children after arriving from Australia. We had booked using booking.com and taken the breakfast and car park as extras. When we arrived the staff at reception tried to charge us extra for breakfast. We showed them the booking confirmation from Booking.com, yet they still argued that we hadn’t booked breakfast. We spent an hour in reception with tired children because a breakdown in the communication between Booking.com and hotel mystays with staff not empowered to make a decision. We were made to feel like it was our fault. This is a first impression moment that they completely messed up. In terms of the rest of the experience, the rooms were nice and the breakfast ok. My advice would be to book direct with the hotel if you need to stay here or choose another hotel to avoid the hour long check in if you book breakfast through booking.com Customer service was very poor.

This hotel is very close to the Kanazawa train station you can walk there in less than 10 minutes. The reception desk was small with only 3 servers but they are very efficient and gracious of course. Our room was huge and well appointed with a large bathroom with a large soaking tub and a great shower head. We tried to do some laundry but for this large hotel they only had 3 washer/dryer sets and although there were instructions in English, they were woefully lacking. Were it not for another couple who could read Kanji we would still be there with dripping wet clothes. Breakfast is included in the room cost but was disappointing. They had Japanese, Chinese and “Western” food items. The Japanese food was okay but the Western foods were terrible. They sorely undercook bacon and the fried eggs had been refrigerated. They served margarine instead of butter and the coffee was bitter. They shouldn’t bother with the Western breakfast at all. Most of the interesting sites in Kanazawa were at least a Km or so from the hotel but it is a lovely city to walk in so we never used public transportation.

Good value hotel - given its large and clean rooms, location which is close by the JR Kanazawa station. However this is a bit of a way from “downtown centre” in the sense that there are not much restaurants/bars etc near the hotel. It’s definitely at the quiet part of town/station. As of June 2019 there is a construction site next to the hotel - but in true Japanese style there is minimal noise or disruption felt at the hotel. Didn’t bother us at all.
