    Very good superb venue. Hospitality and politeness really good. Would highly recommend for that never to be forgotten Japanese experience. My wife looked superb in her kimono. The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful .

    It's about 60.5 mile from the onsen in Nagano Pref. to Hoshokaku. It takes about three hours by car, or you can go from Takayama City to Matsumoto City by bus or train.

    wi fi only worked in a bar which wasn't great. this ryokan is from previous era😀

    Got no idea about laundry. We were there for two nights only. We just found if u run out of clean clothing in Japan u just go and buy a t-shirt or two :)
