stayed here for 2 nights, close to JR and central part of Takayama. small room though in the winter a little cold as there is no central heating however there is an air conditioner in the room. beds comfy and pillows made out of beans (?) but incredibly comfortable to sleep on. free western buffet breakfast included with the stay... A good, very basic budget hotel in the center of Takayama close to Kokubunji Temple and the Miyagawa Morning Market. The room was small with all the essentials necessary for a comfortable stay. We stayed in a tatami room with three futons, small table and TV, refrigerator, A/C and all-in-one bath/shower. The room came with a free, simple breakfast in... More

We stayed in their tatami room. The room is small. Comes with a small tv, coffee table and 2 cushion. As we arrived before our check-in time (3pm) we left our luggage at the counter. When we came back, our luggage was already in our room and room made. They served coffee and barley tea whole day at level 1.... More

Nothing special here, it is definitely budget type. Rooms are tiny, beds are comfortable. Breakfast is just ok. You can buy food and take it back and use the microwave and sit in the eating area and watch tv.

One night stay at Hotel Hana, Kanazawa before heading to Shirakawa-go. Pleasant stay and good choice for budget travellers. Clean and neat room, small double bed, strong wifi signal, small bathtub and complimentary simple buffet breakfast. Good location, near to JR Takayama station and bus station, close to restaurants & cafe, walking distance to morning market and others tourist attractions.

It's not special, good value, good location but the room was bit tired and there was no wifi at our room. The breakfast was basic but I enjoyed. Takayama is not bit town. It's walkable to everywhere. The hotel is located from the JR Takayama station within 10mins walk.

Taking in account the price paid, the hotel was way much better than I expected. The location could’t be more suitable - about three blocks from the station and close to most restaurants and city attractions. A decent breakfast is included and there is always coffe and tea in the lobby and tea bags and kettle in the rooms. The... More

A 10 minute walk from the station, our room was drab but clean, with a small double bed, ensuite, minibar, TV, A/C wi-fi and continental breakfast. The staff were nice. It is located near the tourist area, a short walk to the Miyagawa Morning Market (sample the local nibblies), as well as the Kitayama and Higashiyama Walking Courses.

This is a very basic hotel. It is clean, the staff are competent, and the location is very good for getting around, but don't expect anything else. Some small improvements would make a big difference: a bedside light for reading, a light switch beside the bed, so you don't have to get up... the walls are thin and conversations can... More
