Nestled along the scenic shores of the Red Sea, the InterContinental Aqaba captivates guests with its lively and personal atmosphere, promising comfort and a plethora of amenities. While the hotel's location earns high marks for its serenity and proximity to the city center, some guests feel that the value for money is lacking, pointing to steep room rates and additional charges.
Nevertheless, the pristine cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, coupled with the warm and attentive service, often leaves a lasting impression on visitors, despite mixed reviews regarding room maintenance and the cost of premium amenities.

Great hotel great people great beache. I went to intercontinental hotel Aqaba for one night escape for me and my family for relaxation we stayed in connecting rooms for one night had dinner and breakfast at hotel. Staff was excellent and just made our holiday wonderful. Specially Mais and Ahmad at the reception and Mohammad at restaurant. Rooms we good overlooking beach and pools. Breakfast was just right but I didn’t like the heavy coffee which was very important to me. I really recommend intercostal for a vacation in Aqaba it’s the best.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. The room including the bathroom was spacious and clean with a wonderful view over the pool/beach/sea. The breakfast buffet offered something for everyone. The concierge answered our questions promptly before our arrival and organised several drivers for day trips for us. The hotel became very busy over the Arabic weekend (Friday/Saturday). The private beach had plenty of shade huts, but the constant raucous music from the boats was annoying. The spa area was small, but well kept. We had to call housekeeping almost everyday as the cleaner always forgot something or other - new towels or clean glasses. I would categorise the hotel as a 4 star hotel.

I am a member of the IHG club. A platinum card holder to exact, which means I have regular visits to different intercontinental branches all over the world at least 4-5 times a year. I can most definitely tell you this has been my worst experience with intercontinental so far. The service was terrible. When having breakfast there was only two waiters throughout my 5 days stay on the entire floor and you would need to take a minimum of one hour out of your morning every day to have breakfast. I was staying in a double twin room which implies that two people are staying in it but housekeeping made sure to only provide me with one towel every single day. So disappointed with the service and was expecting a lot more from intercontinental but from what I can tell they are still not doing too well with their reopening after corona and need more time and organization to adapt with our current circumstances.

Hotel cleanliness in general was awful, dust is everywhere, same for the pool that was full of debris and dead insects, was a bery bad experience given the extremely high prices compared to anywhere else on the world, no activities that you can do which is very boring for adults. The beach restaurant had very limited food options and is extremely overpriced- 20 dollars for a burger!! Come on, i can dine in Burj Khalifa for less than that! Staff are good but yet they dont have the right customer care services and u dont feel welcomed as in other places, food is not allowed even if u r getting it for ur kids! Guests are not allowed even if they are stayin in a near by hotel and they only come to visit and not to swim or use any of the obselete facilities u have... in general, never coming back.. too much money for no service at all.. and yes, the breakfast was also terrible btw...

Wonderful 5 star hotel with excellent staff!
We spent a week in February in this fantastic hotel. Ie had a wonderful week and the excellent staff made sure that all our wishes were taken care of. As an IHG elite member I received special recognition at check in. Being a frequent traveler, both for business and personal, i know that this should be the rule, but is often rather the exception. Also when approaching the reception on other occasions, i realized that everything was well organized and they made their best in order not to let people wait, even at peak times, when groups were checking in.
The rooms are comfortable and provide everything a hotel of this category should have. Sufficient and good quality toiletteries, bathroom slippers, etc. Storage space is more than enough and as in any Intercontinental, tea and coffee was available in the room., as well as water, which comes for free. The prices for mini bar drinks were reasonable. The mini bar is stocked with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are added on request. House-keeping was thorough and helpful. A wide ranke of international tv channels is available in the room. If you want your own entertainment program, you may connect your tablet via hdmi.
We had a lovely balcony in a side wing facing the sea, with 2 wooden comfortable chairs and a little table. Despite that the hotel was well booked during the last days, we did not notice any noise disturbances at night.
We ate during our stay in the Corniche restaurant (open for breakfast and dinner), the Lebanese Burj al Hamam (lunch and dinner) and the Deli (all day). I loved the food in all of them. Being in Jordan for the first time, I was keen to try as much arabic cuisine as possible and did not get disappointed. tasty food every day and the Chefs did their utmost to fulfill any wishes.
I used the gym, which was well equipped. Also hand sanitizer, towels and drinking water were available.
What made our stay truly special what the excellent staff, out of which I would like to mention Mr. Mohammed Saleh, the Restaurant Manager in the Corniche and Marlon, who was serving us in the Corniche.
From Aqaba the historic site of Petra is in good reach. Make sure you visit at least for a day trip.also Wadi Rum should not be missed.

We had a really nice time at the intercontinental for the past three days. Service was excellent and they accommodated to all our needs perfectly and immediately. The staff follow COVID protocol to the dot, so we felt safe and comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and attentive and organized. Breakfast buffet was alright, had a good variety but it would be better if there were more cooked, hot foods than cold meats and cereal/fruit. The pools were well kept and the rooms were clean. Whenever we asked for shampoo or towels or anything, they brought it to us quickly. Room service food was amazing! We ordered the chicken escalope and seafood pasta and both came hot and delicious for a fair price. This is our favorite hotel at Aqaba!

We had an amazing stay at the Intercontinental Aqaba. Perfect escape. Views, service, food, beach, pools, entertainment, rooms.. everything is lovely and perfect. It was 43c degree and we had no problem at all. They distribute water bottles while you are on the pool and water is refreshing. Beach is clean and with a couple steps you will be walking inside a very transparent sea water and it’s very soft sandy inside. Breakfast idea with those little containers was wonderful idea so that no huge amount of food to go for waste! Live music and band every night was really entertaining. Every year we come back and see new things and improvements at the intercontinental. A very special thanks to Mr. Waseem on the reception for the lovely perfect rooms and on the top of that a big THANK you and appreciation from all of us for making our stay happy with the little surprise of the birthday cake 😊
A little advise from a frequent traveller that we really wish if there will be a little aqua park in one of the pools with a slide or two for kids as it will be a big plus for families with kids... just a thought. Thank you again Intercontinental and we will always come back.

We booked our holiday weeks ago according to the facilities mostly as we would be with our 6 years old kid, when we arrived the hotel all kids facilities were not in use even the slides on the beach. First day they told us that they were cleaning the slides, other day they said slides on the beach was under maintenance and they don't know when they are going to be operational. Second day I wake up early to do my work out and after that I went to swim which I learned I can not before 8:00, the only explanation to that ridiculous act was, due to policy...Breakfast was awful, you can't even have coffee latte, your only option is tea or coffee, anyway on our second day we cancelled our reservation and moved to another hotel. The only good thing they do was cancelling our reservation without penalty.

In general, we enjoyed our stay at the beginning of February, weather was sunny and warm, great for swimming, yet their pool is warm, this suits kids and adults too.
I hoped to find high cleanliness rooms but unfortunately it wasn't! Neither bathrooms as well.
I'm aware of Covid-19 effect on tourism but this doesn't mean to lower the standards.
They need to work on this very hard or they will lose their heritage and clients as a result.
Their open buffet breakfast was great. For more hygienic precautions, it was without any direct contact of the food by the guests.
I love this hotel but I wish they will take care of their standards to keep their loyal customers.
