We spent two nights here with our group of families. The environment is very informal, quite clean. The restaurant where we have lunch offers simple but good dishes. The location for visiting the coral reef of Tala Bay is very convenient: just cross the road and dive into the Red Sea and you find yourself surrounded by tropical fish. To visit Aqaba in the evening it only takes a few minutes by taxi and the staff kindly help us contact a minibus to take us all.

Excellent location directly on the beach, hotel with swimming pool. The rooms are a little small and basic but the location is perfect for optimizing time on the beach. Good and cheap dinner directly in the outdoor pool area.

The location is perfect. Within walking distance to the (western) beach where you can wear a bikini as a woman. The food is really very good, despite reviews from other guests. There is a relaxed atmosphere around the pool and the people are friendly. However, the diving school and rooms are poorly maintained. My BCD had a hole so it deflated within a few seconds due to the water pressure. I'm an experienced diver and it was a short shallow dive so I was able to solve it. Someone else's mouthpiece was broken. The air conditioning is not maintained and dirty. Taps are loose, the toilet stopped giving water the last day. In short, a wonderful place where you don't have to book a dive and don't have high expectations of the rooms.

The structure is literally falling apart. Dirty rooms (we found sand on the floor). The bedroom doors do not close because they are broken. The pool water is dirty. The worst breakfast I had in the whole Jordan tour. Very little stuff and of poor quality. After a bunch of people got stomach flu from breakfast tea I only ate safe stuff (boiled eggs and bread). But worst of all was the dislike of the owners, rude and unpleasant. Only the older gentleman was kind. The rest of the staff were terrible. The pool loungers had layers of dirt. The only positive note is the proximity to the sea.

Pleasant hotel with decent comfort and calm. Above all, very well located opposite the large public beach and the diving and snorkeling spots. Reception a little neglected but generally nice at first glance. Correct Jordanian breakfast, nothing more. Meals must be taken on site as there are no real restaurants nearby (1 beach restaurant). Average food, not bad but not very tasty either. Adjoining diving club with equipment in rather good condition, however supervision and advice could be improved. Good for doing 1 or 2 dives just to soak your fins!

Bad experience made this September 2023 by me and my fault, management at the limits of probability with rude owners who really don't know what it means to be in the public eye. It should be underlined that we are not people with high expectations, it is not the first time we go to Asia and we know how to adapt very well, we absolutely do not expect perfection, nor do we pay attention to the little things but the structure is practically abandoned to itself, boards missing in the mezzanine of the swimming pool which can be accessed via a staircase (therefore very dangerous for children), dirty rooms, missing door handles, dirty and smelly bathroom, poor and indecent breakfast (it seems to have been put there out of spite), terrible cuisine with the staff washes your feet (to pray) in the same sink they use to wash dishes and prepare cocktails, the owners spend most of the day on the sunbeds intended for customers around the pool with their cell phones in hand, if you tell them you want to eat they tell you take the menu above and sit down (in the other hotels in Jordan where we stayed we had positive experiences, everyone was kind and polite).
The only positive note is the location in front of the barrier, but there are other facilities nearby, so why let your holiday be ruined....

Nice spot to relax at the swimming pool! Bring or rent a snorkel and flippers to explore the coral and fishes, which are to find in the red sea exactly opposite the hotel. Mind that there is nothing close by, so you have to get a taxi to Aqaba if you want to eat out or go shopping.

Response from DarnaDiversVillage Management, Owner at Darna Divers Village Beach Hotel & Dive Center

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere by the swimming pool and took advantage of the opportunity to explore the coral and fish in the Red Sea. Your advice to bring or rent snorkel gear is valuable for future travelers. Also, noting that the hotel is a bit isolated and that a taxi is needed to access dining and shopping options in Aqaba is helpful for potential guests to plan their stay accordingly. We appreciate your input and hope that you had a memorable experience overall.

We had an amazing dive stay at Darna Divers Village! We booked a 2 nights 4 dive package and it was really worth the money. Check out the packages if you are into diving, they are pretty cheap/fair.

The hotel is a nice place next to the beach. We had a room with some kind of sea view (there is a road between the rooms and the beach but you can clearly see the sea). The hotel also has nice small and clean pool area.

The food was also good. The dive package included brackfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was in buffet form. For lunch and dinner we could order whatever we want from the menu, what was really cool. It felt like an all inclusive holiday since they also invited us for the drinks we had :-).

The dives were the best of all. Both dive masters we had (Abdul and Shark) were were friendly and profesional. We asked them before if we could do some wreck diving and they made everything possible for us - even a spontaneous boat dive to the tristar wreck which i highly recommend!

The hotel staff as well as the dive masters were super welcoming and friendly. We never had Aqaba on our list for diving but we found out that it is a truely hidden gem - no metter if you are up to wreck diving or some amazing corals.

We highly recommend this place!

very comfortable room at a more than affordable price right in front of the beach! can anyone ask for more? we really enjoyed our stay at the darn divers hotel, nice rooms, clean tidy and spacious with a very comfortable and big bed. the owners are very nice and with 30seconds of walk you can be at the public beach. the ambient is also really enjoyable for a cocktail in the evening at the side of the pool

We stayed there for three nights. The hotel is OK. The air conditioning kept breaking down, but we were finally able to change rooms.
I can only recommend the restaurant to a limited extent, in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not right at all.
The proximity to the snorkeling beach is very good.
The dive center is OK. But you have to be very patient. There is only a short safety briefing and then you go into the sea. Communication in general is very minimalistic...
