I had the pleasure in dealing with Ms. Waad, Mr. Ahmad and Mr. Tarek at reception in this hotel. Those were very professional staff members and welcoming.
The breakfast wasn't very appetizing, but the staff were very friendly.
The rest of the hotel wasn't very nice to stay at. The rooms were just alright.
I tried ordering room service over 16 times, and when I finally was able to reach them, I asked for a menu, and they delivered it to my room. Once I decided what I want to order, I could not get in touch with their Bar or Restaurant.
20 Minutes later, someone knocked on my door asking if I finished viewing the menu, as they need it.
Same goes for Towels. I called reception over 5 times requesting a towel but it took them well over 40 minutes to send them.
All in All, i would give this hotel three stars because of the warm welcome from their staff only.

Tala Bay is a complex that includes several hotels and private homes, a few restaurants and small shops, a quarter of an hour away by taxi from Aqaba (fixed cost 10 JOD each way). For a holiday in Aqaba, sleeping in Tala Bay is the best solution, because the beach is very beautiful, the view is splendid and the safety is maximum. The Marina Plaza is the least luxurious hotel among those in the resort: it has quite large but dated rooms, with heavy wooden furniture, a comfortable bathroom and a small but comfortable terrace.
We stayed there for a week and overall we had a very good time because the resort is beautiful, well located and with a wonderful sea, the only problem is the staff at the Marina Plaza, who seem to move around at random without a guide: every day we had to look for the cleaning guys to ask them to clean the room, otherwise they would come in and make the bed and that's it (why????); every day we should have received 2 bottles of water included in the service, but every other day they forgot; the rooms on the ground floor have a problem with a stench that comes up from the sewers from the shower, the cleaning staff came in and smelled it but did nothing, you had to go and look for them on purpose, or call the reception and every time the reaction was one of fake surprise and nuisance. At the reception they are unable to help organize an excursion, they don't know any agencies that organize one, they only know the address of the bus station in Aqaba.
the restaurant and the pool bar on the other hand are excellent, well managed and pleasant.
the restaurant offers excellent dishes, there is not a great variety but every day there are new and different proposals between lunch and dinner, the only 2 improvements I would make are the introduction of a greater variety of fruit at breakfast and during meals, because eating only apples and oranges for an entire week is boring, and a greater variety of sweets for breakfast, because many Europeans do not eat savory foods in the morning. The manager of the pool bar is very efficient and very kind.
The beach is beautiful, with numerous umbrellas that are almost always empty because people seem to prefer the chlorinated water of the crowded swimming pools to the very clear water of the Red Sea. I recommend bringing rock shoes because the entrance to the water is on rocks, and a mask to admire the beauty of the reef fish. Don't expect marine richness like in Sharm, here the reef is smaller and more fragmented, but you can see beautiful fish and corals

To start, I would give Marina Plaza Tala Bay an excellent for customer service and the very good reflects our really positive experience staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tala Bay and the front desk staff had a huge impact on our enjoyment here. They were outstanding in their service and did everything possible to make our stay a great one. Really, this is what customer service should look like.

We had the junior suite and it is very spacious for our family of 3 with a view of the sea and Egypt in the distance. The rooms are a bit dated as others have said but it reminds of me hotels in Hawaii and they are clean and absolutely fine.

The breakfast had more than enough for us and we enjoyed the lounge tucked in the corner by the pool. What is really great about the Marina Plaza Tala Bay is that you have access to the whole resort comprised of various Tala Bay hotels at a cheaper cost. There are beaches, restaurants at the hotels and within the compound there are restaurants and some shops.

Aqaba is not cheap to stay in and this hotel is very good value for money. For our family the Junior Suite was the best as there was tons of room to spread out.

Thankful for our stay. Disappointed that it was shortened by our last minute need to move on. We would have liked a few more days relaxing and seeing more of Wadi Rum.

Stayed at this hotel 3 days had 3 rooms nice location
First day mother got burned by hot water in shower and required medical care non was provided by recdeption as we did call and ask shower hotwater tempature was extreamly hot as it did scaled her skin! We had to go get medical attention non was provided and no staff did help!
Noticed in our room with king bed as we sat on bed that a leg broke under bed, called front desk. This seems perfect as 3 people came thought they would fix!
They did say we can change rooms but decided not as this rooms was close by our other rooms and view was not the best. Before he could get anyone to fix this broken leg of bed he had open an "Investagation' as he did blame us for breaking this bed leg. As I did tell him that we certaninly did not we just sat on bed and it broke it must have already been broken in first place as this was not our fault. The guy did say that a carpenter had to fix bed and it would take 30-60min.
we said ok as long as its fixed before we get back in 60 min
Retured bed was not fixed they didnt boter fixing
My kids got bitten by bugs in their room
coffee tea sugar was not given daily Hotel would only give two 500ml of water daily on last dAY
aslo we went to beach to scuba dive and driver forgot us their
they said since were checking out at 100 we can not have any water
staff were rude they actually didnt care if we wrote a bad review they recommed that we do write this review and said go ahead we dont care

Extremely disgusting hotel! And needs a lot of renovations! After we checked in, I directly went to the reception to change the room or refund because balcony door wasn’t functioning and the bathroom was extremely disgusting, they sent many workers and wasted 3 hours of stay and the results weren’t good enough! I asked for a refund and a cancellation of booking. The manager and the reception tried to lie and fool around and say we can’t refund it’s booking who can do so and they agree to fully refund us. After I contacted booking.com and booking tried to contact them they denied and charged us for the whole stay even tho we handled the cards and left immediately. Very unprofessional, greedy, liars, disgusting. Not even a 1 star hotel. Never again!

The room was below the standard one would expect but the shower ok. There was no wash facility beside the toilet, no kettle for tea and coffee and no instructions for the safety deposit box. The tv only had one channel, CNN. The beds were hard and air conditioning very noisy, but as it was warm we had to have it running overnight.
The staff were not very helpful, sometimes rude and untrusting of the guests demanding room deposits and ID in case we ran off with the beach towels after check out.
We arranged to get the free shuttle bus back from the city at 2230, but it never arrived, so we had to find a taxi at our expense.
I appreciate that the hotel was busy, with it being Eid, however there were far from enough chairs or sun beds around the pool.
The breakfast was quite good, though we had to wait for a table, however the maitre d’ was very apologetic for the wait and came to check we were ok.
The young lady at the corner bar, however, was wonderful and the reception staff would do well in learning about hood customer service from her.
The valet in reception at check out was also helpful taking our bags to a safe space before we departed.
It was a shame that a ‘4*’ hotel really didn’t live up to expectations. Nevertheless I was here with a friend and we had an enjoyable time together.

It was a BAD and HORRIBLE Experience in this hotel. If only i can rate them ill give -5*. Not welcoming, bad staff not so proffesional esp. RECEPTION and Housepeeking. The desk perspn was rude and the have an unaccaptable explainations or answers. They didnt know how to handle complaints or guest, after a long trip we thought we can relax after we got the room and settled but the reception keep calling the phone housekeeping giy keep knocking the door non stop without even not telling who is knocking while im trying to get rest my fiance needs to go downt to reception to deals some useless stuff. After my fiance got back to room he was mad and cant keep calm. They ask us extra charge with double the price of our room. This hotel ruin our trip. We decided to leave the hotel. We will never ever come back in this hotel. I will not recommend this to my friends

The resort is located in the Southern area of Aqaba, a 10-15 minute drive from the city. If you don't have a rented car, tha taxi is aproximately 10 JOD from Aqaba. This is the perfect place for tourists who want to chill and relax at the Red Sea, having a private beach where there's no dresscode restrictions for women. If you're not staying at this resort (like us), the entrance fee is 20 JOD (just pool and beach acces) or 30 JOD (with lunch and dinner included in the price). The location is modern, with lots of restaurants and shops, offering also enterntainment oportunities. The food at the restaurants is good and the staff nice.

Value for money is not there!!!
They have 1 paper signed asking us to respect rules that the premises absolutely do not respect:
So people eat their packets of chips by the pool and rinse their fingers in the water, smoke by the water and of course they let their waste fly in the wind or float in the water😡
The hotel staff doesn’t dare to say anything, it’s unacceptable 😤
On the other hand, to force you to leave the water at 6:30 p.m. every evening when it’s 40 degrees, no problem! It’s absurd and completely stupid, with these temperatures we would have to close at 8 p.m. like other complexes around 🤬
Let's move on to the rooms: a shame 😠😠😠 The air conditioning is not maintained, extremely noisy so you have the choice between calm in stifling heat or cool with 1 deafening engine all night 🤯
We had 2 rooms so 2 mini fridges, 1 of which did not work!
Complaining at reception is no use, they don't care.😡
The breakfast is plentiful but not very good😱
The pool bar is very expensive and the ice creams are all soft from the freezer 😳
On the other hand, the neighborhood is secure and nice, it comes alive at nightfall 😌
Many diving clubs around.🤩

I love this hotel. Yes, I've stayed in the big chain places nearby, but the Marina Plaza has a charm you won't find there. It's large, set out with a 'village' feel around 3 pools, and a short walk to the nearby beach club. The room was fine - some might say a little dated - but I'm here for the holiday. I loved the cheerful bathroom and lovely hot water!

Breakfast was more than adequate, and the little corner bar provides excellent lunchtime snacks.....'sandwiches' so generous we shared them.

But most of all, it's the staff. Always courteous, and very kind to us at what proved to be a difficult time. In particular I'd like to mention Muhammed, the Head of Catering, who went above and beyond.

Slightest niggle is the shuttle bus into Aqaba.....the available times are very inflexible but I suspect this is beyond the hotel's control.

This is the second time I've stayed here and will hope to again

I don't recommend this hotel at all..there is no private beach and drinks &beverages are not included in the meals even the water is not included..so you pay for the dinner about 30$ and you buy water bottle or drinks while you're eating.
