This hotel is so comfortable and scenic. They're right on the Zambezi river and it's just a lovely place to sit and have dinner or a few drinks. The booze cruise they offer turned out to be one of the best things I did in all of Africa as I saw numerous large herds of elephants bathing and drinking in...

My wife and I visited Stanley Safari Lodge during January. It was the quiet season, so we had the entire lodge to ourselves. Mr Dennis and Mr Peter were excellent hosts and made sure our stay was memorable. The Lodge had arrangements with several tourist operators and could organise safaris and activities during the day. We went on a river...

You arrive in your own private estate. Mist from the falls in full view. Nature surrounds you all the time. The reason to return to Stanley - the staff. You have the same folks caring for you the full time so it is much more personal. Their kindness and attention to detail is unmatched. Food is fantastic. Tip for couples....

We stayed two nights at the lodge as part of a South African Airways package. The lodge is small with only 10 rooms. We were in one of the open rooms which was a very different experience. Given it was the rainy season, there may have been more insects than normal although the rooms are sprayed regularly as we could...

We stayed in this lodge in November. We had a fantastic time. The staff were very welcoming and we had our own guest relations/waiter/concierge - Mr Mabvuto - who made our stay very comfortable. Food very good and lots of choice and we had a lovely evening meal sitting out on a raised plinth with great views of the towns...

Excellent service. Property managers very good at making sure you get what you want. Good food. Lovely property. Internet very weak. Open air rooms are fun, but it can get chilly at night when you have to leave the comfy bed with its electric blanket.

Friendly staff, good food, it was perfect. You really feel like home. The lodge offers a lot of tours in the area and they take care for everything. I recommend the heliocopter flight, the rhino-tour and Livingstone Island.

Set on a hill overlooking unspoiled bush, only 3 km birds view from the river and the Victoria Falls, Stanley is a perfect base from which to explore the delights of the area – from river rafting and bungee jumping to sunset cruises, elephant back rides or walking with lions. Quiet and intimate, Stanley Safari Lodge will tailor your stay to suit you.The opensided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, French cuisine with an African twist in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa. This half open house has a truly African feel, while the colonial closed suites with private plunge pool evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone. “Honeymoon and Family suites, with open views add to the feeling of exploration and being part of the African bush. There is heating and effective mosquito protection so you don't have to suffer the downsides. Glamping with extra romance and glamour.”
