It is truly exceptional to stay in a place you know is deserving of more than 5 stars, this is one of those place. We stayed 3 nights at Stanley safari lodge and truly enjoyed every minute. We felt welcomed from the beginning and the rooms felt very authentic. They are open towards the bush so you wake up and... More

We had an wonderful time at Stanley Safari Lodge. The rooms were beautiful, the staff really warm and welcoming and the views spectacular. The lodge is built on a hill overlooking the Zambezi and Victoria Falls in the distance. It also faces west so that you can watch the sun set from either your room or from the communal dining... What a special place to stay. Total luxury & relaxation. Staff are attentive but not intrusive. Lovely (unheated) infinity pool with amazing views. Rooms also had their own plunge pool. The site is large & fenced to keep out wildlife - this was reassuring after camping in Botswana! The meals were super. We felt bad leaving food but the portions... More

2 nights at Stanley Safari Lodge is just not enough time to enjoy everything on offer. From the time we were met at Livingston Airport till our departure 2 days later we were spoilt, and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are all individual buildings and set well apart from the next building. We were 2 families and were... More

Our family began our African Safari in Livingston, staying at the Stanley Safari Lodge. The lodge is a located in the hills above the Zambezi River, away from the noise of the touristy areas, but close enough to be there within minutes. Individual lodges are discreet from each other for quiet and privacy, each with a fabulous overview of the... More

We spent 3 nights at Stanley Lodge and felt like we were royalty. Our first evening we were treated to our dinner at a table overlooking the infinity pool and Victoria Falls in the distance. Each night we had amazing food presented by our own friendly staff person. The rooms were immaculate and opened onto amazing views. Our anniversary evening... More

A very pretty lodge close to all Livingstone has to offer. Having come from Robin Pope camps in Nkwali and Tena Tena in the Luangwe valley it was a gently introduction aback into civilisation. The service once again good, staff excellent and Peter our personal Butler a joy. The falls are a short ride away and they were full and... More

We loved our experience at Stanleys and were fortunate enough to be the only two guests in camp. Mabvuto was our very special butler and could not do enough to make us happy. He is a wonderful man with a great heart for hospitality! The setting is beautiful and overlooks a part of the reserve (lions roaring at night) with... More

We spent 3 nights at Stanley Safari Lodge between Christmas and New Years. This really is a lodge with it's own special feel, with wonderful rooms (each one different) rather than a standard hotel with standard rooms. The view from the rooms are all beautiful, overlooking an expanse of green forest with the smoke from Victoria Falls in the background.... More

Open air, wonderful people, great service, great food, beautiful sunsets, infinity pool, lots of things nearby to do. Really enjoyed staying here. Highly recommend. The rooms are open to nature, you can't be afraid of bugs, but they make every effort to make sure they don't interfere with your stay. It is great for the lover of outdoors. Rooms are... More

From every room at Stanley Safari Lodge, you can see the distant views of the spray of the Victoria Falls. Set on a hill overlooking unspoiled bush, only 3 km birds view from the river and the Victoria Falls, Stanley is a perfect base from which to explore the delights of the area – from river rafting and bungee jumping to sunset cruises, elephant back rides or walking with lions. Quiet and intimate, Stanley Safari Lodge will tailor your stay to suit you.The opensided Main House has been designed with space and views in mind. Enjoy sundowners in the African style lounge, French cuisine with an African twist in the dining room or spend some quiet time in the library or upper deck discovering the secrets of Africa. This half open house has a truly African feel, while the colonial closed suites with private plunge pool evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone. However, at Stanley Safari Lodge most rooms are half open, which enables you to absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush fully. ... more   less
