The Royal Livingstone is a fantastic hotel with great facilities and service. I was told by friends who had been that there is an unsettling inferiority complex by some of the staff members. I saw this for myself. Most staff were great but it was...More
This hotel has an old world feel to it, but feels like a modern five star all the way through. Set up on the banks of the Zambezi River, you almost feel like you are a British explorer about to embark on a discovery of...More

With the right visa you can hop from one country to the other. The only issue is time. The Victoria falls is in Zambia however Zimbabwe side has the best views. You can do river cruises on both sides of the country, as the Zambezi river is the boundary. On the Zambian side the hotel can help you to arrange the African queen river cruise which is about 15 minutes drive to the river front. It makes sense if you are in Zambia to do the river cruise from Zambia, if staying in Zimbabwe from the Zimbabwe side as it is the same river. I hope this helps.
That is terrible. We hope you are OK now. We stayed recently and there are warnings around and the staff made a point of telling us (and other visitors) to keep well clear of all creatures large and small. We were told to... More
That is terrible. We hope you are OK now. We stayed recently and there are warnings around and the staff made a point of telling us (and other visitors) to keep well clear of all creatures large and small. We were told to photograph only from a distance (use zoom) and at all times, give the animals complete right of way. You must have been very unfortunate and as I say, we hope you are OK now.
