Very good place especially If you're traveling with kids. We were here with a 2 yr old and a 6 yr old. It was just perfect. Very homey and nothing to worry about. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, water pressure very good. Everything was just perfect. Environment, clean.there was an odourless mosquito spray provided so mosquitoes and bugs weren't a problem. I recommend these apartments. Will be back again.
Our apartment had two bedrooms. One with a double bed and the other twin beds. Each self-contained. Air-conditioning in both bedrooms plus ceiling fans. Living room had a ceiling fan but no air-con. It was nice and homey, reasonably priced, and we could choose whether to eat out or prepare our own meals. They apartments share the entrance with Protea so security is sorted out. The place was very neat and we'll maintained both inside and out. Braai stands are available. There is a shopping centre not far from the apartments to get supplies, and a minimart at a gas station very close by for emergency purchases eg bread, insect repellant, bathroom, toothpaste etc....For the younger children there is a small playground with swings, slide, monkey bar , seesaw and a roundabout. The only issue I had was the noise coming from the cafe across the road at night. The rooms furthest from the road are better in terms of a little less noise. Otherwise a lovely place to stay.…
We enjoyed our stay in Livingstone and the apartments was clean and well set out. The beds wete comfortable with nice crisp linen and lovely towels in the bathroom. However, there were no mosquito nets and the mosquitos were everywhere. The apartment was full of them every night. The staff were very kind in trying to alleviate the problem with insect spray but the mosquitos persisted. The pub across the road had very loud music every night until 4am. There was no complimentary coffee tea or sugar and we arrived at 5.30pm. Thankfully there was a petrol station next door with a shop ehere we could buy a few items and we are dinner at the Protea next door. Wouldn't stay again due to noise and mozzies.
We really liked this place. Very courteous and helpful staff, rooms are clean and serviced daily, and kitchen and pantry are great for self-catering. It is located inside the Protea compound, so very safe and quiet while also affordable. Some inconveniences with the sometimes low water pressure, the inconsistent WIFI, and loud music from the Beehive. On the whole, however, we would not hesitate to stay here again.
This place is great. Clean and a good price too. I would recommend staying there any time except....the noise from the across the street bar which is called Bee Hive. You can wear earplugs but the bass is so loud that it keeps you awake until the bar closes which is anytime between 2 and 3 am. So do not book over the weekend. Otherwise I would highly recommend this place.
I rented a 2 bed apartment in October 2017 and was very pleased with the services provided. The location is very close to local attractions and services such as banks, restaurants and supermarkets. I was there for 2 nights and able to visit Victoria Falls, see a number of wild animals in the bush, experience a ride on an elephant and take a river cruise on the Zambezi river.
Great development part of Marriott Protea located ideally on the main road in Livingstone - access to the pool and facilities at Protea also. Free wi-fi, plenty of free parking and great amenities in each apartment.
This is a great place to stay with a group of people or another couple. There are two bedrooms and a kitchen so you dont always have to find a place to eat. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help
I stayed here for two nights with a couple of friends visiting from the UK; as a budget plan it's great value for money and perfect if you're planning to be out and about exploring and adventuring. The Management were friendly, and efficient - and very responsive both during the booking process, and the stay. The apartments have two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a living room and a small kitchen, and a little verandah. They are very comfortable and clean (serviced daily), and I'd definitely stay here again if I was travelling on a budget. The only downside was the noise from the bar over the road - which on the second night was quite loud. But some of this was drowned out by the white noise of the aircon and fan.
I would have given a four rating but for the noise from a nearby pub (the B'Hive Bar and Grill) which disturbed our sleep during our stay. We spent three nights here during our family vacation to Livingstone. The staff were super helpful and even went out of their way to provide us an extra mattress and blankets for the kids as both rooms in our apartment were occupied by adults. The apartment was clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Unfortunately we booked late and hence could only get a non air-conditioned room. I strongly would recommend that you book early so that you get an air-conditioned room as the heat in Livingstone can be extreme in the summer months (i.e. September to January). To avoid the noise from the pub, I would recommend that you request for rooms that are away from the road (avoid apartments 8 and 9). Management did mention that they have complained to the local council and are waiting for action to be taken against the noisy B'Hive Bar and Grill.…
