The stay at the hotel was charming. Upon arrival we exchanged our room for a beach villa for a modest fee. The breakfasts were adapted to local customs, but given that we were probably the only Europeans in the hotel, this is completely understandable. But we always had enough to eat. The other dishes were also very tasty. We took a taxi to the beach not far from the hotel, a beautiful clean beach where we were alone. We wanted to take a trip to Da Lat, which the very nice receptionist willingly arranged for us, the full-day trip with an English-speaking driver at a great price was amazing. We can only recommend this hotel. Markéta & Honza
Stayed here just deluxe room years ago and now villa with private pool but not feel more premium. We check in early and receptionist ask us to wait until 2pm. We ask if they can prepare our room as soon as possible cause we're tired after 4hours trip from Saigon. We hire a bike to downtown and have lunch. After 2hours, we are back and there's still no room for us. Waiting and see a company group just arrive and go straight to their room. I lose my patience, and ask again, she keeps asking us wait. Really frustrated, and we get our room nearly 2pm, after 3hours in a dayweek and not a high season, especially at this pandemic time. I think they don't know how to do, just by order and not flexible, and when the first impression is terrible you know the rest will be ducked up. There are many moquitos in the room, especially the locker. Pool is not really clean, no mattress on chair. Two pillows on the bed. Have to ask for more. And when we're out for dinner, I see an apology letter on the floor, really respectful, for noise cause they host a gala dinner from 6:30 to 9:30pm and we are not allowed to swim at that time. And you can't imagine what we have suffered by noise, only stay in door but still hear they sing. I think an apology at that time is useless. When you host a party, you have to confirm to other guests, so they would choose another resort to relax, not to join with bunch of uneducated people. Don't know how to do hospitality again. Breakfast is poor, around 10am, a poolman just appeared at our private pool to clean. And housekeepers clean the next room which connected to ours, so we're bothered again. Don't feel any privacy here. I forgot charger and have to go to get by myself. I just feel wasting time and money to book a villa at this "resort". The price isn't cheap but service is very cheap and poor, lack of management, and don't know how to make customer service. I won't be back again and probably not recommend for anyone, even a try.…
I was on the vacation with my wife, we booked the private pool villa beach front. Everything was really really good, top recommended! We had a very privite and good atmosphere overall and enjoyed our getaway time a lot. The only thing that I complained is there were too many mosquitos, thus make sure to close all the doors, tell the staff to bring you the mosquitos repellent.
My niece forgot the slip and I have asked to bring to receptionist for us but they declined and told my mom has to come back and take it. I ask for the key before come back but she stressed and told “ you have to bring it back, the housekeeper is busy” yes, we come back to take it by ourselves, no need their help, we just ask the key to make sure can access the room. All needed services cannot adapt, no daily bus and they blame of Covid. Because of covid, they don’t provide the bus but asking for late check out only 30 minutes, they refuse because of fully booked. My mom has to pick the luggage up by herself and no one help her. Lake of staff. Restaurant was bad, they also blame many guests and many tables reserve before so cannot arrange table as we need ( we have the baby of 6 months and just want to sit near the balcony) I don’t think this is the 4 star resort. Just 2 star and 1 star service Thinking carefully before you book this one…
My fiance and I have stayed at Romana many times and is one of our favourite places to unwind when we have time. The grounds, rooms and facilities are very well maintained and clean. The staff are one of the best features, always a warm and sincere welcome and nothing is ever too much. The private beach is ideal if you're looking for peace and quiet. Local fresh fruit sellers visit the each with fruit and coconuts for drinking. Food could be better but this is the case with most hotels and who wants to eat in a hotel every night anyway? The hotel do put on themed food nights, buffets in the open air which are nice and always offer something different. We use a local taxi driver to ferry us down to Mui Ne where there are many restaurants that cover various cuisines, fresh local seafood being the most common. Our favourite place to eat is the Food Court towards the end of Mui Ne strip. Used mainly be locals and expats living in the area, not too many tourists. Food court offers various street food kitchens and a well stocked bar with real ale - as an English chap this is just heaven for me! Back to Romana, it really is a little gem located inbetween Phan Thiet and Mui Ne, a short (and cheap) taxi ride will take you to either place. A great hotel at very reasonable rates, nice and quiet . An ideal base to unwind, relax, recharge with easy and short commutes to local destinations and transport links to Ho Chi Min, Danang & Hanoi. Give this place a go, you won't regret it! See you soon Romana. Cam on Ivy & Paul…
We had a wonderful stay here while we were in Mui Né. Our room was bright and clean with a beautiful view of the pool, ocean and sunrise. The buffet breakfast was great and had a huge selection. The beach is also really nice, kept clean, and quite quiet. The grounds were well kept and had many lovely flowers. The staff was extremelyyyyy friendly helpful and attentive. The ladies at the front desk Wendy and Jasmine helped us rent a moped, book our bus tickets to Dalat, and were always there with a smile. Thanks so much hopefully we will be back one day!
We stayed in a pool villa overlooking the sea and the beach. Spacious room, nice little pool and comfortable bed. The sound of the ocean was relaxing. The bathroom had an outdoor shower. So the room would get 4-star rating from me. Breakfast was ok, dining ok. I would rate both 3 stars maximum. Pool good for swimming laps, which we liked. The gym was a joke, not a gym. Old machines that hardly worked. But the staff were all friendly and helpful at all times and made our stay delightful.
We stayed at the 3 bedroom villa with private pool which was lovely (even though there is a very large new hotel being built adjacent to the room). Unfortunately the quality of food was atrocious which meant a trip to Mui ne every night for dinner. Breakfast also was very average. Please be careful with ancillary charges like laundry which is a dead set tort and caught us out.
From the moment we arrive....friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Wendy went above and beyond to assure we were comfortable and offered sightseeing and dining recommendations. I cannot wait to go back...thank you Wendy Nguyen for making this vacation AMAZING!!
We rented several 3 BR luxury villas for 2 nights for company trip. They offered virtually no support for a company. At arrival their staff was cold, did not smile, did not greet us with any warmth & were uncaring. Their personalities would be common in low level gov't officials or post office worker. When we arrived my VN staff said they do not like VN visitors- several of my staff complained. Our Dr sat at a table for 4, but it has only 2 place settings- she asked waiter for 2 more, but they pointed to the kitchen and said get them yourself. Every request during our stay was met with a struggle or slow response. At check-out (after we spent thousands of $$$) they treated us like criminals- more concerned to check if they could charge us for extra bag of chips or if we took flip flops- would not return our ID cards until they could check everything. We felt embarrassed & insutled rather than valued guests. Food was terrible- our VIP dinner was rushed: 7 courses ALL served at same time. Bell boys would not help with luggage & refused to carry a speaker to the beach for our company game, even though we are entirely woman except myself (an old timer) and one other senior manager. I wrote a letter complaining with lots of detail and I got a thank you for your stay letter. It had a small comment that we take your comments very seriously and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to become an even better organization. We will never return and never recommend to anyone. …
