Wonderful place, this is our preferred family vacation resort, it is very clean, and the staff is very friendly, reasonable prices for food and room, in my opinion, it is the best resort in Mui Né, highly recommended, peaceful safe and clean.

This place is beautiful. There is no need why you should get out from the Resort as it has everything you may need. The pool is very nice. Breakfast could be improved and staff should be more attentive they are definitely too relaxed too. Our waitress forgot coffees and after

Dear Joanna_Villa, I am very pleased that overall you have enjoyed your stay with us and found our resort pool and rooms to be beautiful. I am sorry that the breakfast service staff were not more attuned to your preference for wanting an a la carte coffee order during our breakfast time, I will try to train them further in this matter as I do understand that some guests may prefer to order specialty coffees rather than choosing the tea or coffee included in the buffet. Regarding your bill I do apologise that you were inconvenienced, whilst I do understand how this has happened (as when we offer a la carte service for lunch or dinner we do not present a bill until the end of a meal in case our guests wish to order further food or drinks, but during our buffet time it is more difficult to know when a guest is close to finishing their meal and will not be wanting anything further), but I also understand that this can be frustrating for our guests as well so I am very sorry and will look in to how we can improve this procedure in the future. I believe that you raised your concerns when you were presented with the bill and the team actually opted to not charge you at all for these coffees because of your obvious distress, I do hope this was a suitable outcome for you and helped to relieve your stress in this matter. You are correct that we are not an adults only resort (there are actually no adults only resorts in Mui Ne), so sometimes there will be children staying with us and of course some are more boisterous than others. While in general this is not too disturbing for other guests (as we do not have a lot of families with young children travelling here), there is always the chance that some children may be present and a little playful around the pool area so if travellers are looking for an adults only environment for their holiday they may prefer to book a private villa with it's own pool or to visit a different region in Vietnam in order to ensure complete serenity. Thank you so much for your detailed feedback Joanna as this helps me to recognise areas where my team can benefit from further training in order to provide better service to our guests in the future, and it also helps readers to determine the best resorts to suit their personal preferences as well. I do hope you had a comfortable journey to Hanoi and arrived there feeling relaxed and I wish you all the best for 2019. Warm regards Kristy Marland General Manager

Dear TLDX, Thank you so much for your kind words. It is lovely to know how much you have enjoyed your stay with us and found our rooms, pool and beach to be so comfortable and well designed. I am really pleased that you didn't find the sand containers to be taking away from the natural beauty of our beach. We actually hadn't finished these beach protection works until last night (so it looks even better now), but we were very careful in the selection to ensure that they were not only an environmentally friendly fabric and placement/design, but also that the color would blend into our the sand of our beach area in order to maintain the natural appearance of this area. I am always sorry when visitors to Vietnam may not be aware of the reasons some of the smaller businesses can charge lower prices than the professional businesses do here. It is a combination of reasons usually such as that if the small places take cash payments they will not declare this to the government and pay taxes (towards garbage disposal etc.), often they do not pay their staff the minimum wage (or health insurances etc.) that they legally and morally should and also they do not have generators to keep their refrigerators running when the electricity fails (this happens a lot here), so for our guests when they see smaller places charging around US$1 for a juice and us charging between $2 - $3 (for what appears to be a similar product) they may not understand why there is a noticeable price difference, but as these things are all issues that our resort does really care about we will continue to charge a bit more than them, however I am very sorry you were not aware of the reasons behind this. We are very lucky to be in such a great central location for visiting the restaurants and shops which are on our doorstep as most are within walking distance, but naturally there are some other great places a little further away (such as the food court which is a fun, casual area and is about 5km or $2.50 away), but as taxi's are so reasonably priced here some of these places are definitely worth the visit, especially if our guests are staying for a week or longer with us. I do hope that you have the chance to return to Mui Ne in the future for a holiday and we will be very happy to welcome you again to Blue Ocean Resort. Warm regards Kristy Marland General Manager

Dear OnefishNZ, Thank you for your kind words. While there are plenty of activities to do here in Mui Ne, at Blue Ocean we do find most of our guests stay with us at the end of their visit to Vietnam and are looking for some relaxation before they head home to their busy lives. I'm so glad you enjoyed your R&R time with us. Warmest regards Kristy Marland General Manager

Dear FILLTHEBAND Yes we can arrange a private transfer. The cost for this is 2,900,000 vnd (around US$126 based on todays exchange rate). This car can be booked for any time, but personally I recommend departing here at 8.35am as I personally allow for a 4 hour drive, it is usually less than this but I am always very conservative when it comes to flight times. You can book this in advance or if you are not arriving late the day before your flight our reception desk can organise this for you after your arrival with us. Warm regards, Kristy Marland, General Manager

Is there a gym on site?
Sorry, no. We have a few pieces of equipment but not a lot. Most people run or swim on the beach for exercise here.

Hi Susan F, yes we provide pool/beach towels in each rom. They are located in the wardrobe (blue color). As most guests are using the pool towels when we clean the room during the day, our turndown staff will replace these in the evening so you will have a fresh/dry towel for use the next morning.

Dear Juzzeig Yes, weather wise February is a fantastic time to visit and relax. Please always keep in mind when Tet (Vietnamese lunar new year) is though as in some locations within Vietnam it can be either very busy (such as Mui Ne) or very quiet (Saigon almost closes down). New Years day this year is on the 16th of February, so probably it is best to ensure that you are not staying in Saigon between the 14th and the 20th of February. Many visitors actually choose to come to Mui Ne over these dates as we have a lot more fun activities that are available over this week.
