This resort is a stand out in Mui Ne and great value. The grounds and facilities are well maintained and clean. Everywhere you look are green lawns and palm trees which gives you a lovely tropical feel and sense of privacy in the resort. Decor in the rooms is tranquil, comfortable and clean. Restaurant is central with beach views. Staff are friendly and great service. We are sad to leave. Definitely be back. Thank you

The property is well located on the beach front, with a very welcoming staff and management. Rooms are spacious, and very well set up for foreigners, with plenty of TV channels, good internet. Breakfast was A la Carte probably due to the lack of groups but was OK with enough choice and in a nice location. The only 2 comments I have is: - the lack of power/USB socket near the bed , but that should be easy to install as nowadays we all have phones and tablets to charge while staying in the comfortable bed - the blinds although closed properly still allow a lot of light coming in the morning, even if no one from outside can see in the room. Overall great stay.

Dear Benchmarker, Thank you so much for your kind words, it is heart warming to read that you found the staff and managers to be so welcoming to you. You are correct in regards to your thoughts on why the breakfast was served a la carte style during your stay. As I am sure you have noticed during your stay, the resort (and Mui Ne in general) is very quiet at the moment, so we prefer to cook fresh to order for our guests when it is very quiet as I worry to have food sitting on the buffet for long periods of time for both reasons of hygiene, but also of freshness and quality of the food as well. I am glad though that you felt the choice of items was sufficient, and also that you enjoyed the beachfront location of our breakfast service area. Thank you for your feedback about your preference for power sockets close to the bed. While we do have sockets at the desk area for this purpose, I do understand that peoples habits are changing and some prefer to have their phone close by when they are in bed so I have asked our maintenance manager to look into the locations of the electricity cables in the wall close to the bed in order to see if installing more power points here is a possibility. I will also get the maintenance staff to check the blinds in our rooms. Although these bamboo blinds are not designed to completely eradicate light to the same standard that blackout curtains would do, they also shouldn't have any gaping spaces that allow beams of sunlight to shine in (as I understand this would be very annoying if you are trying to sleep in), so we do appreciate your feedback so we can investigate and also improve the facilities in the rooms for the comfort of our future guests. I am very pleased that you feel you have had a great stay with us at Blue Ocean Resort are I do hope to welcome you back to Mui Ne again in the future. Warm regards Kristy Marland General Manager

We stayed here for four nights and it was excellent! We had a beach front bungalow which was lovely, clean and relaxing with the veranda and the large outdoor bath tub as well - although we did have some days where the water for the shower and outdoor bath did not get very hot (as much as I would have liked anyway!). The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, especially the restaurant/beach bar staff. The food was good for all meals - the included breakfast buffet was a fairly standard hotel buffet but decent, and the menu for lunch and tea was extensive and tasty. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant every night as it was very quiet and lacked some atmosphere but this is most likely because of the covid pandemic, and not a fault of the hotel. The nearby restaurants were all similar in terms of atmosphere at this time as well. We would definitely recommend the hotel and come back to stay again for another relaxing weekend away from the city!

Dear Eleanorrose, Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so glad that you have enjoyed your stay with us over this unusual and very quiet time. Yes for safety reasons we cannot set the temperature of the water boilers too hot (incase children - or adults too for that matter- burned themselves), and each boiler in each room then has a standard capacity once it is used it takes a little time to reheat, and as our bathtubs are so large some of us who like quite hot baths may not get them as hot as we would prefer so I am sorry that this was the case for you on some occassions. It's lovely to hear that you have enjoyed the friendliness of our team here, and also the quality of the food. For lunch and dinner as they are cooked fresh a la carte style our guests can easily choose what type of cuisine they enjoy the most, but for breakfast this can be a little challenging as we try our best to have a suitable selection on the buffet that suits both our Vietnamese guests and our foreign expatriate guests as well as our tastes are very different and personally I would never eat soup for breakfast, especially in a hot climate like this, but our Vietnamese guests prefer foods like this to items like bacon, eggs & croissants that I prefer, so we do try to give a good variety (and of course it is dependent on what we can buy here in little Mui Ne as well as we don't have the same options and availabilities that they have in the bigger cities like Saigon) to suit all our guests. Anyway, I am glad that you found the breakfast to be decent if fairly standard. I do look forward to welcoming you back to Mui Ne again in the future, and please feel free to ask for me (Kristy) at reception as I can also give advice on which local places (restaurants/bars etc.) are most likely to have a good atmosphere based on activities being held in the area at the time - for example on Sunday night this week Mooney's Irish Bar has a charity fundraising event so there should be a good turnout of people and a fun vibe. Just spent nine days at this wonderful place. A wonderful setting in exotic , well maintained gardens. We had a garden bungalow overlooking the gardens and the beachfront and sea.The bungalow was very big with a huge , comfortable bed. Lots of space to move around with a good sized wardrobe and a safe. A large flat screen TV a fridge and a minibar. We used room service once which was very good and we used the laundry service a few time as we were away from home for a month. We had a broad terrace outside with two bench settees on it and a table. Really nice for our sundowners. A short walk to the magnificent swimming pool where due to corona we could always get a sunbed. The sunbeds had very thick, comfy matressess on them and free clean pool towels delivered to the room every night. Breakfast was excellent with a great self service selection of food from around the world and lots of exotic fresh fruits. The whole site is very well cleaned and maintained all the time. The beach was very clean and the sand was beautiful and went deep in to the sea. The sea was a bit rough and there was usually a strong breeze and there was plenty kite surfing etc going on. The bar was very good near the beach and reasonably priced as was the bar indoors. If you take your laundry to reception before 9am it was back mid afternoon delivered to your room pressed and folded in a basket. Around 1 dollar per item only. You can order food and drinks from your sunbeds around the pool or the beach. Outside along the road were loads of restaurants and shops to the left and right of the hotel to suit all foody desires. There is a spa offering the ususl treatments at decent prices.

Dear SingingHarleyowner, Thank you so much for your kind words. As you mentioned the corona virus pandemic has made the town and the resort (and probably every resort in the whole world) much quieter than is usual for this time of the year, and of course we understand that for international travellers like yourself it could be a stressful time to be so far away from home, especially in a country where you don't speak the language so I am so glad that you were still able to enjoy your vacation with us at this strange and difficult time. I do hope we have the chance to welcome you back to Mui Ne again in the future when perhaps you will have more opportunity to visit some of the wonderful sites in the area such as the white sand dunes, the lotus lake and the Cham Towers. Warmest regards Kristy Marland General Manager

We spent 5 days here recently and although the hotel itself was nice, the staff were all pretty miserable and the WiFi was terrible. We even complained at reception and asked them to look into it but no improvement. If you need WiFi for your work whilst on holiday then think twice about using this hotel. As far as I know, internet elsewhere in Mui Ne is pretty good.

Dear GiakouMRhodes, Thank you for taking the time to share some information from your experience at Blue Ocean Resort with the TripAdvisor community. Firstly I am so sorry that you felt that the staff were miserable. I understand that all people will have a different feeling, so while the feedback I have been receiving from others has been very positive about the staffs friendliness and helpful attitude, I am very sorry that they have not given you the same feeling as they have given to our other guests during your stay. I am also sorry that you found the free WiFi that we offer to be too slow. While you mention that you believe the WiFi to be good otherwise in Mui Ne, based on my own experience living here I will have to say that this issue varies greatly at all establishments based largely on how many people are using the WiFi to upload or download large files (often when I am not at work I actually find it better to use 4G at my home, restaurants etc. than the WiFi available in these places). Compared to many other countries the internet to Vietnam is actually a big problem as many of the undersea cables break on a regular basis (it is a joke amongst the locals that sharks are doing this by biting the cables), and of course to a remote area such as Mui Ne we do face even more problems than larger cities such as Ho Chi Minh City. That being said while we cannot control the cables etc. that are external to the resort we are constantly trying our best to improve the quality of this free service for our guests for the internal cables, routers etc. Overall I feel that the additional systems and equipment we have put in place late last year have improved the system a lot, but of course if many guests are all uploading or downloading large files such as pictures or videos at the same time I can believe that this would slow the speed of the internet down a lot, so we will continue to look at ways that we can improve this service. I am glad that otherwise you thought that Blue Ocean Resort was a lovely hotel, but I am sorry that you were so adversely affected by the quality of the WiFi, as I do understand if you are needing to do a lot of business whilst travelling this could be very disruptive to you. Warm regards Kristy Marland General Manager
