I have found this new resort and wanna try to see how it is. I was not impressed with the reception area of the resort, it looks dark and old-fashioned, we were a little bit disappointed as with the first view of the reception area, but then entering the villa is not bad, going up 2nd floor for the Premier Deluxe Room is totally different from the set up we have seen at the reception. It is modern, well-ordered, and worth for a 4-star resort.
From here it just only takes 7km to go to Phan Thiet city and not too far to go to Mui Ne, so if you have your own vehicles, it is nice to drive a round. And you can have another choice to have lunch and dinner at Mui Ne.
We have a nice view from our own balcony, swimming pool is big but they didn't take the insects out until we asked them to do it as like they were full of the pool. Food is very good, fresh and cheaper compared to other same rank resorts. But breakfast is quite simple and not many choices. The most impression i think is the beach, it is excellent, the water is clean and during our stay there is no wave at all. Last time at another resort in Ke Ga, we didn't go to the beach often as beach wasnot clean maybe it also depends on every month but with this time Villa Del Sol, we spent a lot of time in the beach water and it is the excellent thing we have got for our stay.
Managment is not good as anyway this is a new resort, so I hope it will be better. Staffs here are friendly but not yet professional, they need more training but they're very helpful and nice. Bathroom is huge, towels are new but smell a little bit more chlorine, as this is a new resort so facilities are all in new and good condition.

A wonderful introduction to Vietnam thanks to all the staff at Villa Del Sol, Phan Theit. We were lucky enough stay at the Villa Del Sol for 5 days in July and our experience was brilliant. We came into a warm, welcoming, beautifully looked after resort and were greeted by the sounds of the frogs on the lily pads in the pools around the villas - the water was extremely clean and the ponds well kept. Firstly the quality of the rooms were exceptional, we had a beach front villa which gave us the most beautiful view whenever we were in the room. The bathroom is excellently designed with grey tiles as stepping stones and white smooth stones between these tiles, this provided endless entertainment for my 16month old son stepping from slab to slab. The washroom area has a shower and a bath with two sinks and it is paneled from the room with decorative wooden strips and slats. The restaurant staff were more than attentive with a real interest for our whole group which included my husband, son, brother and his girlfriend. We ate in the restaurant every day, which is not our usual style as we like to explore when traveling to new places but the staff made us feel so welcome we didn't want to leave. During the afternoon the fishermen worked in the shallows and on the sea shore outside our room, including the chef from the restaurant who was really interesting to talk with. The pool is beautifully placed with a shallower area which is perfect for children, and they also provide life jackets if you wanted to use them. The sun beds and toilet facilities were well kept and pool towels were provided daily. My husband and I both had Vietnamese massages in the spa, and I also had a head, neck and shoulder massage with aloe vera with the aloe taken directly from the plant. The ladies were excellent and welcoming, the one thing we both thought would be nice was to have music in the massage rooms, however I could hear the waterfall which made up for this for me. The beach was steps away from our room and we didn't encounter any sand flies (which we had been warned about in this region). There were very few mosquitos, I didn't get bitten during the entire stay. On our last evening the restaurant manager set up a BBQ for us, which was such an impressive spread and cooked on the grill in the middle of our table. It was a perfect end to the holiday and the food was incredible! One thing that could have turned into a problem during one of the evenings, but was swiftly resolved by the staff here, was a group playing music on the beach from four large speakers. At 2am when the music woke my baby and I, one call to reception fixed the problem and the music finished for the night. One suggestion, which stemmed from talking to the bar staff, would be to have a wider selection of music for the bar as they were really interested in Bob Marley when we started playing it. I would highly recommend a stay in the resort to anyone, an excellent example of Vietnamese hospitality.

Upon our arrival we where greeting with a complimentary welcome drink and told that your room was still being prepared for us ( we had arrived a little early ) and asked if we wanted to stroll around the gardens or have an early lunch. We chose an early lunch as we had left home quite early and felt the need to some sustenance.
During our lunch a representative came to our table handed us the door card and said our room was ready. So after lunch we eagerly came to our room to see how it compared with our last stay at Villa Del Sol a couple of years earlier. The room was great approximately 60 square metres with a really huge bathroom and a view of the pool and glimpses to the ocean. It was well presented and clean, a good start to our time at the resort.
The beach was a little disappointing as a sand bank had formed off shore giving the resulting beach a fairly heavy undertow. Not a beach for small children as they can easily be swept of their feet. Also the beach had noticeably more rubbish than we remembered from our last visit which is a pity. It would be nice if some authority would be set up to sweep the sand and remove the debris as it does detract from the overall ambiance but this is not a criticism of the resort rather a comment of the beach front itself.
We wanted a relaxing family break with time spent at the beach, in the pool etc and then going too the restaurant for meal breaks. After about three meals there we started looking at alternatives for lunch and dinner. The resort food just didn't deliver, lacking in seasoning and overall quality for the price quite expensive. We would not have minded the cost if the food was good but it was ordinary which is a real shame as the ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxing and inviting.
One visits Villa Del Sol because one wants a really nice room, a very pleasant walking experience in the surrounding gardens and good food. we had to settle for two out of three and hope that our next visit the management listens and creating a great dinning experience as the resort deserves this and quite frankly so to it's guests.

This hotel is located 10 km from Phan Thiet and 30 km fra Mui Ne. There isn't anything to see in the area, no restaurants, no shops or anything. The staff at the hotel doesn't speak English AT ALL. It was very frustrating not to be able to communicate with them . Four times we had the wrong food, because they didn't understand what we ordered. We alsom got a food poison from eating at the restaurant at the hotel and were sick for five days. The rooms are nice and clean and the pool area nice, but thats all. I would never go back to Villa del sol!

We booked 2 rooms and visited here on Tet holiday for vacation. The resort is far away from the attractions and center, the lobby is small and the room is not so comfortable, arrangement is weird, the small window is behind the bed head and bedroom is too small compare to the bathroom is big. We found the pool towels put in the room is too dirty, look like blood, i don't understand why they let it be like that. The infinity pool is nice, big and have a great view to the ocean. When we checked out, the girl in suit (i think is a manager) asked me to take back the towel to the room because we left it on the sunbed in the pool while I already show them where is it. (It takes me a long walk from the lobby to the pool and back to the room) This is unacceptable for a "4 stars" hotel service.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of October 2013. Very quiet and peaceful. The room was 'Seaview Deluxe', it was huge with comfy bed and nice bathroom. Very clean. There were not many other guests at this time. The staff were friendly and attentive, would definitely come back again.

This hotel is quite new. There are several 'villas " each with 4-6. Separate units. The rooms have floor toceiling windows, lovely bathrooms and good views. The bottom floor of each villa has a common room and kitchen, so that if you have large groups, you could rent the entire villa, but each family coul have privacy. Forthe cost of the room, it is very spacious, clean, and private, built in a balinese style. Downside is that you are far awayfrom mui ne which is the mainbeach town so you would have totake a taxi into town. The staff is nice, but has poor english. Food is Okay. Plus side is really if you want to getaway from the craziness of a beach town, this place is wuite luxurious for the value. The beach out front is great in the mornings but gets very rough after 2pm or so

The hotel has good location, very near the beach. Nice swimming pool, clean, helpful staff but one of the thing that we dont like is the meal. We expected fresh and delicious seefood but they dont have. A bit dissapointed.

Very clean peaceful hotel, nice rooms, right next to the sea, nice beach, very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitly recommend! Shame we only stayed there for one week. Quite a variety of different seashells lying in the sand - great for souvenirs for friends and family!

Modern property with private villas. Nice swimming pool and beach. Buffet breakfast was mediocre. Far from shops, restaurant and nightlife. Staff tried to be helpfull but with very poor english. I had a room on the ground floor with a very small window (wall view). I couldn't even check what a weather was outside. I don't like the stones on the floor in the bathroom, they are very uncomfortable. The bathroom is too modern, no privacy in toilet. I would recommend other hotels better located.

"We stayed at the Premium Garden View, which is on the second floor (Ground, First, second). The ground floor was a communal living room and kitchen (no cooking equipment), but we didn't use it. I think the "Sea View" rooms are basically the same but closer to the beach and with the balcony facing it."
