Nice spacious rooms with hot water. Breakfast was ok though most of the options we pork. Staff was friendly and helpful. Being right by a beach helped. Close to the Lady Budda Temple (free entry). Rain limited our plans. Wish we could have stayed one more day.

For your own sake, don’t ever stay here! ☠️ Me and my girlfriend arrived on the first of April this year (1/4/19) so about two weeks ago for one night, was the plan anyway. Got room 101 I think which was located just behind the reception, at first we thought “cool, close to the entrance and the beach” but as we walked in the room stench of smoke and even worse the only window in the room was covered of bird shit so there were barely any light coming through. We asked to change room which was no problem and got room 506 I think, not completely sure about the room number, this room had some stench of smoke as well but we just wanted to leave our bags and explore the city since we had landed in Da Nang that day so that’s what we did. After a nice massage, some exploring and a really good Vietnamese dinner we returned to our room around midnight. The reception was closed and we just went up to our room. There we found surprise after surprise. First a lot of yellow stains on the sheets, then a used q-tip in the bathroom, then we saw that there were no toilet paper only the rest of an old completely empty one but the obviously worst surprise of them all was that we found mouse feces (!!) on the floor, on the desk, in the closet and ON THE BED. So, there we were, in the middle of the night with no one to talk to and trying to decide if we should stay or not. Since we were pretty sure that the mouse feces weren’t there when we dropped our luggage on the room earlier on the day and we weren’t so happy about mouses running around and shitting in our room when we are asleep we decided not to stay and grabbed our things and started walking down the road and ended up taking a room at the Jazz Hotel (really good and clean rooms) just a couple of meters if you go right when you walk out of Da Nang Bay Hotel. The next day we went back to Da Nang Bay Hotel and explained what had happened, that we hadn’t slept in the room and why we hadn’t done so and showed the girl in the reception the pictures and videos of the feces and some of the other issues we had with the room and after a while, since she didn’t understand or could talk so good English, she understood what had happened and translated on her mobile phone that she would tell Agoda (which we had made the booking through and prepaid the room to) that they should pay us back since it’s the hotel that decides wether it will be a refund or not. We left the hotel, thinking that we would get our money back and left that city, Da Nang, that very same day to continue our vacation down south in Hoi An. A couple days later we get an email from Agoda saying that the hotel has decided NOT to refund us and keep the money. So we payed about 350 000 Vietnamese Dong for a room and breakfast we didn’t use and had to pay even more for another hotel (Jazz) so we had somewhere to sleep that weren’t covered in mouse shit, we spent more on phone costs talking to Agoda to clear this out then what we possibly should get back with the refund but at that point we didn’t care about the phone costs, we just didn’t accepted paying for a room where mouses runs around and shits when you sleep. So, to make this long story just a little shorter. Don’t book a room here! The rooms are nasty, they lie to your face in the reception, they don’t understand English so you can hardly communicate with them and they take your money for a shit-room, literally. Everything I’ve written in this text is completely true and I will attach the pictures, unfortunately I can’t upload the video only pictures of the feces, just in case someone thinks I would make this up for whatever reason. Take care and good night from Bali!

It was amazing. Our stay at Danang Golden Bay reminded us that luxe is not only for super rich people, but it can be affordable in some places. The Pool was stunning, the views from the Pool are breathless. We enjoyed our stay so much and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Danang

I booked Danang Bay Hotel for a weeks stay for $100 AUD which is extremely cheap. The hotel is located directly across the beach, however the surrounding areas are quiet with nothing but seafood restaurants. No other shops within walking distance. The standard double room was highly edited in photos. Upon arrival, the room seemed quite off. The shower had a weird smell and reminded me of a public beach shower. Not quite sanity and there were ants in the bathroom and on the desk. The walls are paper thin as I could hear next door’s television on. The room is not sound proof at all- you can hear everything that’s going on outside your door. The window didn’t seal shut properly so I had to find something to wedge it shut. Reception kept my passport for the duration of my stay and only allowed access to it when I needed it. No other hotels do this! They just take a photo???
