Traveling from Australia, we wanted to book this hotel for several days stay during the 1st week of April 2019. When we arrived, we stayed 1 night only instead of 6. This hotel was completely empty and look depressing inside. bed mattresses were very rough, our room was basic and dirty. The security guy was impolite and acted aggressively on a few occasions. The receptionist was asking personal financial questions and refused to take our credit card for the payment, only cash. During our stay, we spoke with some local Vietnamese living nearby and they told us that the manager Miss Ly and her staff were stealing and telling lies to people to make more money. We searched the internet by typing ¨Grand mango hotel miss ly¨ and we found a website talking about the manager and what she does. We are not surprised by what we read, because our 1 day stay was not nice at all. We decided to go elsewhere and we had a very nice time.…
I have never written a poor review before. We arrived late, I called ahead so they knew our flight was delayed. Security guard was sleeping on a cot in the lobby. He let us in. I can only assume our room had not been used in a bit. Bed was clean, however floor was so dirty we left footprints walking around the room. There wasn’t even a roll of toilet tissue or facial tissue anywhere to be seen. (No staff except the sleeping security guard). The neighbors arrived back at 3:30am. It was so loud I thought they were entering our room. Breakfast was only local food. It was simply ok. The young lady at the front desk was very nice, she saved the whole review.
This hotel is great value for money and situated close to the beach and eateries. The rooms are pleasant, bright, the beds are comfortable and clean. We stayed 2 nights and found the staff always very friendly, they spoke adequate English and were cheerful and helpful. There is also a good breakfast buffet. We really liked the location, one block back from the main beach, looking over a nice green park at the front. There are plenty of places very close by where you can eat or have a coffee. We would certainly stay here again.
Room was clean and comfy, if a bit small. Pluses: - Security person at the door was very sweet. - There was a gecko in the room, which meant no insects. - Breakfast was adequate...warm food, as well as fruit. You can request other foods to be made like soup, fried eggs, or pancakes. - Staff in the breakfast room were nice. Minuses: - They held on to our passports til the next morning. I’ve never been to a hotel that did that. They usually just take it for a minute. When I questioned it, all the person said was that they do that for all guests.
Great hotel in Da Nang. Nice rooms, clean, comfortable, big bathroom. Great breakfasts like dinners in the morning! Close to the beach if you fancy. Really good prices when booking in advance. Great service and helpfull staff in the lobby. Highly recommended this place
