The resort is situated on a stunning beach with white sand and charming, albeit small areas with sunbeds. We visited during peak season, so the resort was extremely busy. The check-in process felt a bit like a factory, lacking the personal touch expected from a 5-star experience, though the lady who assisted at checkin was very friendly. The guy who handled our luggage and escorted us to our room was also very nice and friendly, and he seemed genuinely appreciative of the tip.
Our room was upgraded to a sea view. While it had seen better days, it was acceptable for a short stay. Some renovations, or at least adding carpets, would improve the atmosphere, as the stone floor made the room feel a bit cold and sparse.
The amenities were excellent; we could request extra items through the app, and they even provided laundry detergent. :) The pools were nice, though crowded and noisy, so we especially enjoyed the adults-only pool, which offered a peaceful retreat.
The restaurants had exorbitant prices—even by 5-star hotel standards, it was shocking. However, the food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. We frequently visited Baguette for light snacks and coffee; the offerings were great, and the staff was always cheerful and welcoming.
Overall, it’s a nice resort, though a bit too busy and family-oriented for our taste. Nonetheless, we highly recommend it!

We experienced an incredible stay at the Hyatt Regency in Danang in August 2024. Right from check-in, we were warmly greeted, given all the necessary information, made comfortable, and oriented to the hotel. Much to our surprise, as part of the American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts program, we were given an upgrade to a 3-bedroom villa, which was absolutely perfect - clean, spacious, private, quiet, and steps from the gorgeous beach. There was a handwritten card from General Manager Adrian Pulido on the dining table along with fresh fruit, coconut pineapple cheesecake (which my son said was delicious), and kombucha.
As soon as we arrived, Linh brought us inside into the comfortable air conditioned space, and helped to get us checked in and oriented by providing plenty of important details and information. Tani was our villa host, and made herself available to us at every moment via WhatsApp, regularly checking in to see how we were doing and helping us with laundry pickup and buggy service - she was flawless as a personal concierge and we appreciated her so much. Every member of the staff we interacted with greeted us with a smile and/or warm greeting. The buggy drivers were all courteous and fun, and the security guard at the gate (Tuan) helped to translate for our Grab driver to figure out where he was.
The cafe/bakery was lovely and we spent several mornings there. Our teens spent some time at the golf simulator, and we enjoyed every sunrise (thanks to jet lag). We enjoyed the uncrowded, soft-sand beaches, and were so impressed at the overall care and upkeep of the property grounds - which we could see were maintained by plenty of hotel staff.
This was an absolutely wonderful, relaxing, and rejuvenating stay which far exceeded our expectations, in part due to the lovely villa but especially exceptional in the service we received - we very much look forward to returning in the future.

I stayed here for three nights and in Hoi An during the Bon festival. The couple, 10 and 12 years old made it into 3 bedrooms and it was very comfortable! There are two showers and two toilets, and the fact that we have three rooms gives us a private space was satisfying for the older children. It may not be a new hotel, but I was a bit concerned about the water scarps in the sink. There is a beach right next to the pool where towels, chairs and bodyboards can be hired. There was no laundromat or dehydrator, so I washed and dried it myself. It is a little difficult to move when staying at Villa because the site is large. Sometimes they are lucky enough to take you on a cart. The beer you order by the pool is about 1000 yen, so it's cheaper overall. We went to all three restaurants, and they were all delicious! There were plenty of kids Programs that seemed very resonant for kids in early elementary school, and Marble Mountain and Meason Ruins were within easy reach with grabs. There is no staff who can understand Japanese, but they got it right even in poor English. The guests were also not biased towards any particular country, which made them feel comfortable!

It was fantastic vacation! It’s our second time in Hyatt Danang and every time is great. Basically it’s Maldives or Miami for way cheaper, and better service. The hotel is so gorgeous and kid friendly! The best part of it is kids club from 8 am to 9 pm! Kids are happy, endless activities to do, staff are very friendly and helpful. For extra pay we hired babysitter services and left our 8 months old and 6 years old with super attentive and wonderful babysitters. Restaurants on the property quite nice, and pool and beach menu is better the in the US typically serve;-) it’s our second time staying in this property, and every time we feel welcomed and nothing to complain about. Breakfast served with fresh squeezed juices, the healthy cleanser juice was my favorite. Since we were there for 3 weeks it was important and easy to stay OB healthy diet there. Lots of evening entertainment, jazz band at the bar was my favorite ! Cocktails 🍹 was really nice quality, you can tell bartender spent some effort to make it. Manager Yury, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The whole team , felt like one union. I think it’s really good value for your money hotel! Highly recommend it!

For travellers use to high quality resorts this is a real let-down, why? because the condition of the main hotel is dated and rooms are in need of updating. The only saving grace is the efforts of the staff to try and make things better. The club lounge is always over-crowded and doesn’t cater for vegetarians, nearly every salad had meat or fish. The residence locations are not walking distance to the resort and you are better saving your money by booking a good AirBnB. Bathrooms have no hand-sprays next to toilets. We booked both club-rooms and a 2-bed residence and expected the residences to have bedrooms of equal size, they don't and someone will feel they have the lesser room. Frankly, I was shocked by the quality of the hotel and the literature missing key information. For example the 2-bed residences have no reception/concierge and limited furniture and even small things like places to store spare pillows etc.. like a chair or ottoman etc..We had Block C residences and you had no resort experience, I couldn't even see the hotel from the apartment. The private owners of the residences have store their belongings in the utility areas so no utility benefits . Finally, something I experienced for the very first time after travelling across the globe for 40 years was the strange rule with club rooms allowing guests only access to breakfast at the club-lounge and not the main breakfast restaurant without paying again. Club rooms have always allowed access to all breakfast locations. Its not a Vietnam thing because my Accor bookings allowed access to all areas without paying twice.

The resort ranks up there with the Hyatt resorts in Hawaii, San Diego and New Mexico. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the beach as it rained much of the time we were there - we will need to return in the spring during the dry season.
Despite the rain, we enjoyed our time at the resort. We took in some stretching classes (location moved because of the rain) and made use of the complementary steam room and sauna for guests. We took advantage also of the shuttle to Hoi An (for USD $3 per person) and it was only a 16 min walk to the fascinating Marble Mountain.
Service was top notch. We were late making reservations for the Hoi An shuttle, but despite our lateness, they made an effort to run the shuttle for us at the last minute. The staff at the Regency Club were attentive. We noticed them (especially J.D.) bend over backwards for another couple who had dietary requirements and had the kitchen create several custom dishes just for them. There was another person who didn’t like the Viet options and the kitchen prepared a custom Caesar salad for him. So while vegetarian options were limited (one steam veggie, several rice options available), the kitchen seemed very accommodating to special orders. But for most people, the standard offering at the Regency Club was more than enough. The pastry chef was excellent (those Iychee danishes and Nutella doughnuts!!)
Several observations: It wasn’t apparent that Regency Club guests could skip the regular line and check in at the Regency Club. Something good to know. When this raining, the walkways to the spa and to the Regency Club were exposed. The hotel charged a 5% service charge as part of the standard room charges so no need to tip unless there was a very special request. The shuttle schedule to Hoi An is not convenient if you want to stay for the lanterns at night, but it was easy to just take a Grab back to the hotel. We looked into the regular breakfast offering but it was very loud and crowded and we were glad to be at the much quieter Regency Club.

We just returned from Vietnam for our honeymoon and part of our trip was spent at this hotel. I wanted to write a review while it's fresh. There are a lot of pros to this hotel that outweigh our rocky check in. Check in however, was a disaster. They assigned us a room, and as we approached with the bellman the door was wide open. We walked in, and dirty towels were everywhere and there was poop in the toilet. Obviously the room had not been cleaned. We returned to check in where the bellman informed reception, and rather than automatically believing us and the employee and providing a new room, they called housekeeping and then questioned us on exactly why the room wasn't clean stating housekeeping had said they cleaned it. I had to loudly state there was poop in the toilet and demand a new room before they "of course" offered a new room.
Now onto the pros:
-breakfast spread that we purchased as part of the room rate was AMAZING. seriously I've never experienced a breakfast spread this good. -property is drop dead gorgeous and well maintained -beach front rooms you fall asleep to the waves crashing. It's heaven. -restaurants on site are very good
Cons: -no hot tub on the premises unless you go to the gym and go into the gender segregated locker room. All I wanted was to lounge in a jacuzzi by the beach with my husband, but no jacuzzi at all on the property unless you count the locker rooms. -reception was very slow. we had a package delivered and they never called to inform us. once I did call, I had to call 3 times to get it brought up to my room (a service they themselves offered). It would have been faster for me to walk and get it myself but they had insisted on bringing it up.

Had a great 4 nights stay for our Vietnam trip at the Hyatt Regency Da Nang. We booked a king bed room with ocean view and club access with Hyatt points 17K / night - personally thought the extra 5K points per night was well worth it for the club access and better room.
Overall hotel was very serene situated away from the hustle and bustle of Da Nang city. The hotel was right on a very peaceful and clean stretch of the beach with plenty of pools and lounge spaces. Despite the relatively isolated location, Hyatt Regency Da Nang was an easy and cheap Grab ride to downtown Da Nang (around $5 USD) and to Hoi An (around $10 USD). There's also a hotel shuttle to Hoi An running a few times a day for 80K VND per person.
We really enjoyed the Marble Mountain tour hosted by Yury which was complementary with club access (including Yury serving as a tour guide, hotel shuttle and water - entrance was extra at 40K VND). It was a highlight of our stay and a great way to see a nearby attraction without during any of the legwork ourselves.
Hotel breakfast had a good variety including rotating vietnamese noodles, congee, and eggs cooked to order. Daily regency club happy hour run from 5-7PM with a good amount of food and self served alcohol. You can also drop by during the day for coffee and soda.
Overall highly recommend!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom residence which had plenty of space for our family of 4. Kids loved the activities provided by the kids club and junior activities by the fitness centre. Spa was excellent although a bit more expensive than we expected for Vietnam.
Although the breakfast was very good, lunch and dinner choices were quite limited and expensive and by the end of our 6 day stay we were a bit over the food. When we asked staff for alterations to meals, such as replacing fries with salad or vegetables this was not allowed.
Staff were excellent and very responsive to all our other requests.
Rooms were clean and spacious although curtains in both bedrooms let in enough light that we all woke up very early each morning.

This was our first trip to Vietnam and we just spent 5 nights at Bay Resort Hoi A which was amazing! We booked Hyatt Regency as we didn’t want to stay in the heart of Da Nang but rather stay at a resort on the beach. The ground floor room was modern with a great layout having bathroom on one side and toilet on the other side. The walk in cupboard was a great to store our luggage. The slide door leading to the pools and having a day bed on our porch was an added bonus. The whole complex is amazing and you will be impressed on how well it is presented and utilised. We were lucky to have had 1 sunny day over our 5 days booked and got to see how stunning Da Nang beach really is! I’ve seen many beaches around the world like Thailand, Bali, Hawaii, Dubai, Albania & Queensland in Australia and I have to say, the beaches in Vietnam are the best I have seen. Soft fine sand, crystal clear warm water and no seaweed! Breakfast had lots to choose from but can get very busy being a large hotel. We had dinner in the same dining room and it was a lovely experience with the service and food we got. If I had to pick on anything it would be to at-least offer a once off mini bar and snack refill which we didn’t get. We did get it at Bay Resort Hoi An and Sedona Suites Ho Chi Minh City which was lovely as you are spending over $300+ AUD a night. Overall I would recommend but make sure you don’t book it during the rainy season like we did as it did spoil the experience abit as we didn’t get to enjoy the pool and beach as much as we wanted to. P.S - There is a massage outside the resort which is a 8 min walk and they actually offer to pick and drop you off for free.

I took a look at the offerings between the regular restaurant and the Club. While the website only promised a continental breakfast in the Club, it had a variety of hot foods: Chinese congee, Soup, Bibimbap, Lical hot noodle soup (rotates variety), eggs cooked to order - including their tasty smoked salmon poached egg in a croissant!! So we didn’t see a need to pay the upcharge for regular breakfast at the main restaurant. I don’t remember the upcharge but was about $9/person? Anyway, breakfast at the Club was very filling and lots of hot options.
Hello.. I stayed in the hotel side ..not the residence side.. hotel is in the middle of the property so I'm not sure with the residence side. Pls bear in mind that the property is vast.. so maybe check the hotel's map and choose according to the mobility of the travelers... .. I find the lagoon pool to be the best as it is also in front of the beach.. if you have kids choose the residence near the lagoon..
There are more places to choose from in the Da Nang area.
